Pros:

This is a standout hotel. The location, the friendly staff, the staffing levels and above all the breakfast were fantastic. They have the best breakfast of any hotel I’ve been at.

Great location, comfortable rooms with good ammenities, friendly helpful staff.
Pros:

We enjoyed the room being more classic than many modern 'cookie cutter' style hotels, and had been renovated with all modern facilities. The big spa bath was a bonus. Staff were friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to upgrade our room and give a bottle of champagne as a wedding anniversary gift. Thankyou!

Cons:

The tiled floors could be cleaned better in the toilet and bathroom.

Very enjoyable stay in this beautiful old building.

A haven of peace and quiet from the hustle and bustle of Sydney CBD.

Staff helpful

Cons:

Hotel lacks a ‘homely’ atmosphere. Although staff were very helpful, some of them are coldly professional in dealing with guests. No ‘off script’ interaction. Perhaps a slightly warmer, softer approach would help.

Also bedside USB chargers did not work and there were no C type charging points which was inconvenient.

We came as tourists to see Sydney and the hotel is ideal for tourists with no cars as the hotel is near all kinds of pub

Pros:

Location is fantastic. Easy walk to quay. Restaurant and bar were really good. Very attentive staff. Great Lychee martinis. We will certainly be back.

Cons:

Room quite small once you have bags to open. No window to look out as they were up high.(I’m being fussy but love a window to look out in the city.)

Cons:

Disappointed that a number of free-to-air TV channels were missing. I suspect your TV system needs to have programming updated. Specifically, we had been watching the US Open Tennis on the 9 Network. Friday, Saturday, Sunday were the finals and broadcast by channel 9. However we were unable to get reception on the channel. The channel indicated US Tennis Open but nothing connected - just a blank screen.
It was a minor inconvenience, but disappointing.

Very clean room and facilities. Concierge was very helpful. Room service was quick. Room had all the required amenities

Cons:

Key card sensor in the lifts often did not work. Gym was very sparsely equipped. A TV in the gym or some music would be nice.
