The quiet refinement of the decor and the warmth and efficiency of the staff makes this Lisbons #1 hotel. Rooms are large, the aircon good ( a must in Lisbon ), the beds supremely comfortable and the showers powerful. For jet lagged travellers the central location ( 20 mins from the airport ) on Parco Eduardo VII gives the hotel a sense of welcome inner-city calm. The downstairs bar with its 1950 era tapestries and walls of yellow marble is a quite remarkable work of architectural good taste. The hotel restaurant next to it surprised us. The chef should have a Michelin star in his own right. The bar staff and the ladies at the concierge desk are efficient and knowledgeable.
We have returned from Portugal with the view that this hotel ranks alongside the Palace in Tokyo for superior guest comfort. The place is clearly superbly managed and the staff seem to enjoy working there. This is reflected in the outstanding service.
We shall go again.
Four Seasons is a wonderful brand and one tends to go from one Four Seasons to another. Unfortunately it is a franchise and some are great eg Four Seasons in Koh Samui is beyond amazing . The Four Seasons that is NOT good is the one in Lisbon. After many years of being their client each visit is as if they have never seen you before. They NEVER offer faciliated room checkin. They take your credit card at the reception and again upon checkout but they send the bill the next day via email . They have NO profile on the client preferences. This is probably due to turnover of staff and training. We made restaurant reservations with them at recommended restaurants and had the worst seating possible. If the Four Seasons cannot obtain proper seating they should not make the reservation. After a terrible experience seated next to the exit of the kitchen, next to the bathroom and near where dirty dishes were placed at the end of the bar I never again used concierge services. The hair dressers has closed but they tell you it is being renovated. After a delivery charge of one yogurt I think the time has come to look for another hotel. I will miss the pool and the decor but one needs to move on.
Hotel maravilhoso.
Pequeno almoço. Caro para quem como eu so tomo café e como pães e com poucas opções de pães.
We really enjoyed our stay at this Four Seasons property. The staff is delightful, helpful, always greeting us with a smile. The rooms were spacious, and ours had a nice balcony overlooking the park. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Great location. Highly recommended
Hotel excelente. Equipe super bem preparada para lidar com clientes upscale.
Avoid, at least until the end of the construction. We came for four nights and since we arrived on Saturday, everything was perfect at the beginning.
But early Monday morning, we were woken up by hammers and drills. It seems that the hotel is remodelling without telling the guests. Noise is really annoying.
Good thing that Lisbon has so much to offer. But at least until the end of the construction I would recommend other hotel.
Limpeza e decoração
Deixei um carregador esquecido no quarto e disseram que não ficou nada, o que não se admite.
Very clean and up-scale guests
Little flexibility upon a request to change room due to noisy guest in the next door.
El hotel en general es fantástico. Nada ostentoso y elegante.
Sometimes you might not realize the advantages a huge (and ugly by todays standards) looking building built in 1960 might bring to a five star hotel. Despite the old age the hotel has beautiful and large interiors, wide corridors on every floor, and extremely large rooms and balconies by today's hotel standards. If they were to make a hotel with this much space today this building would have 3 times the number of rooms. The service is top notch and without a fault, breakfast and food is as good as you can find anywhere and everyone makes you feel welcome and at home. So enjoy all the space the hotel offers, and make sure to visit the the spa.
