The Chess Hotel

Brilliant location but I paid for a deluxe double room and it was really small. No view out of window (looked out to a concrete wall) and the room was very dark.

Property was tucked away in an alley but it was nice and quiet. Elevator is small. Place was clean but the bench at the end of the one of the beds was a bit wobbly so we didn't allow the kids to sit on it. Staff was very good and the two that I spoke to did speak English so that was appreciated. Lots of cafes and restaurants around. Within a 4 minute was to bus tour stops. Would stay here again

Desk staff were wonderful. The hotel’s up to date with outstanding air conditioning. Layout is a little confusing at first (e.g. there are two staircases) but single elevator gets you to all floors. Area is great for shopping (stores are by the nearby opera) and the area has all sitters of very good restaurants.

This is a great place to stay and a great location. The staff is excellent and take care of all your needs.

The hotel is close to everything you would want to see in Paris. Of course, the food in the area was very good, including the breakfast buffet at the hotel.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was quiet, albeit rather small. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Its central location made it easy to explore the city on foot. The only downside was the rather limited breakfast options. Overall, a good choice for a stay in the city center.

Pretty great stay and only a 15 min walk from The Lourve, 2 minute walk to Opera Garnier and Gallerias Layfette. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The Chess hotel is fantastic.
The staff are superb. The bed is very comfortable. The hotel is close to all the major attractions.

The Chess is perfectly located for touring - Opera district, shopping, food, transit, short walk to the Louvre, Montmartre etc. Clean, friendly, well appointed, quiet - perfect.

Small hotel but cute and comfortable we had a double deluxe room.

great location, very nice staff and a nice breakfast buffet. rooms are too dark, with no sun light at all (we stayed on the left side), people smoking in other rooms made it impossible to open the window. the bed is very uncomfortable (very cheap mattress). and since there is only one entrance to the hotel, you will often find yourself entering or leaving the elevator when they take out the trash!

The room was nice and clean. The staff was very friendly. The location is amazing.
