The room was lovely, my partner really enjoyed the spa bath and the ability to choose a pillow to use was a very good addition that help us have a good nights sleep
When we arrived we had to wait 40mins for our room to be ready, issue was we arrived a little after our allocated check in time, our room was ready 1hr and 40mins after after the check in time I had allocated of 1500 And for our troubles we got a complimentary house beer and house wine. I also had to pay for parking, when asked if I had a car and need to park I was never told it would cost me anything until I checked out.
Staff are very friendly and attentive
Rooms are very spacious we had a double room with 2 kids and it was excellent.
Basement pool, sauna and spa setup is a great use of space
Not too many options for in-room dinner dining but understandable if they want to encourage people to dine in the restaurant or visit local dining venues. Breakfast had a great selection.
Enjoyed the stayed & liked late check-out but the the late check-in wasn't great for us, particularly on that occasion.
Fabulous and realy memorable stay at the Playford! Out room was spacious and really well appointed, and we greatly enjoyed the food and wine downstairs. Parking just across the alleyway was really convenient.
Our only (small) beef was that we missed housekeeping - we had been out since early and came back at around 2:30pm for a nap and our room was still not done, so we missed out. Wasn't a huge deal but surprised me that our big, expensive room was not given priority for refresh.

Entrance foyer a little underwhelming
Necessary basics for any decent hotel are there: clean, comfortable, space to move but beds a little hard.
After having trouble navigating the QR code room service menu I dialled for assistance as instructed by the TV. Rang the shown 'assistance' number twice - no answer. Ended up using the external line to see if I could raise anyone, again trying twice. No answer. Went down to find the only person on the desk was with someone so I went to the restaurant and was cooly greeted when I described my situation, stating I just wanted to cancel the order altogether.
Next morning we discovered the crowded and understaffed breakfast area - strange considering a conference was on so one would think management would know enough to increase staff due to this. The area looks great, on several levels but the buffet area is dangerously cramped resulting in two spills we witnessed as people tried to navigate by each other with plates of food. The servers maintained a personable and friendly attitude despite the fact that they were severely outnumbered. We won't be returning and if you decide to do so, I wish you well but I strongly suggest you go elsewhere for breakfast at least.
Well appointed and spacious room. Great swimming pool and gym. The food and service in the bar was excellent, too.
Sadly, we ordered room service that took almost an hour to arrive and it was overcooked and cold. It was so disappointing having eaten in the bar earlier. We complained and received an apology and were offered wine which we declined. A partial refund would have been better given how terrible it was and the high price.
