Beautiful location and setting. Reserve lake side only.

When we arrived for our long-anticipated return to the Black Swan lakeside, my elderly mother was treated rudely and dismissively before our reservation was canceled. The dude running the desk could have EASILY been more kind about not allowing cats. Or like, kind at all. Guests are always going to book 3rd party—maybe cover your bases instead of yelling at an old lady? Zero hospitality points this visit.

Would recommend but ask for second floor with a veiw of the lake.

Being on the first floor. I could hear the second floor guests walking back and forth to the bathroom.

It served our needs as a place to stay in the Lenox area.
Pros:

Location was good- we had Tanglewood tickets

Cons:

The whole atmosphere was dark and shabby. The hallways were in desperate need of updating, ( walls & carpet. The sleeping area and bath were small. I should have paid extra for upgraded room.

An enjoyable stay and I would stay there again.
Pros:

They easily upgraded my room to a lake view, with a walk out patio. This was most relaxing for us! They had a small but satisfactory breakfast to get started for the day!

Cons:

There was a noisy bathroom fan, but it did not take away from our stay. It was reported the next morning.
Also must note the cell service was awful, but expect it was most of the area.
