Der Teppich war dreckig, die Möbel abgegriffen und zum Teil die Oberflächen kaputt. Im Badezimmer gab es Schimmel.

Great Location but facilities a little tired.
Pros:

Excellent location and staff were very helpful. Loved the pool area.

The rooms needs a refresh. Carpet stained and woodwork damaged.

We use to stay frequently at Novotel in Canberra 25 yrs ago. The rooms and facilities were of a much higher standard then and everything was well maintained. It feels a little tired now.

We won't be back.

This hotel is in an excellent location and our room was well-appointed. The buffet and pool were selling points for our decision to book.

Cons:

There were some very strange things that happened. A man shouted 'minibar' relentlessly for about 45 minutes in our corridor on Saturday afternoon. When I said, 'no thank you' from inside our room, he called out 'don't you want me to check the minibar' so I opened the door and said, 'no need, we haven't used anything'. He didn't have a cart or any supplies with him so I don't know what he was checking or really doing, but he came in and look inside the fridge any way. He asked if we were enjoying our stay and I replied that we were disapppointed our room hadn't been made up. He replied that that wasn't his department... He then left and went back to shouting 'minibar' for another 15 minutes. Weirdest thing ever. No idea what his job really is. The lift frequently displayed the 'call locked' message when we tried to use it. We would have to ride to G then get in a different lift to be able to go to our floor. We were using our room key each time but it wouldn't register. We did have staff check it and each time they checked then handed it back and said that it was working... On Sunday, admittedly during a very busy period at the buffet, service was just plain odd. No one was cleaning any tables. I askedif I could clean a table so we could use it and the staff member said 'sure' and handed me spray and a cloth!!! The coffee machines were not working, there was no cutlery, and lots of trays of food empty. A man came to refill the pastries and when I attempted to take one, he tried to put one from his hand onto my plate. I had picked up the tongs, so I said 'no thank you' and reached for a different one, which he then snatched and moved... so weird. I asked a third member of staff where I could find cutlery and she stared at me blankly. Then another guest showed me where some was, dumped on a table.

has some faults. needs updated furniture. but where it was located is good.
Pros:

nice place to stay. close to some very nice places to get a feed. close to the trams. nice balcony with space. room is spacious. food is great for breakfast but pricey for dinner etc.

Cons:

parking is a nightmare. they do have overflow parking but you have to walk back and forth. TV does not have the usual streaming platforms on them. use your own device to cast to TV. bathroom sink is outside the bathroom. kinda strange.
