Decent place to spend a night or two on the way to Banff.
Pros:

Neat and clean.

Cons:

Breakfast closes too early. The bathroom door lock was missing. We informed the reception but the guy who came to see it couldn't fix it. The lift was too old and slow. It appeared to be an old hotel.

Pros:

I like that it was close to the airport after a long day of travel. It was nice not to have to go very far for a decent hotel.

Cons:

There's holes in the furniture. There was no comforter cover. It was just two sheets on either side of the comforter. The hot and cold in the shower was switched. I turned the water on to hot for 10 minutes. Never got hot. Turned it to cold and it finally got hot. As I was checking in a guy came down and said that he walked into a room with people in it because the front lady gave him someone else's key. That guy came down and was very upset. Somebody walked in on him and his wife.

OK - price matches the experience
Pros:

Cheaper than surrounding hotel options, clean room and a comfortable bed. We had a pretty tree right outside the window and appreciated looking at the magpies jumping between the branches.

Cons:

Staff was rather unhelpful, the breakfast offered no healthy options, the gym was underequipped and we found it inconvenient that a debit card is not accepted for the deposit, and a credit card is required. It gets warm in the room if you don't want to sleep with the loud ventilation system on.

Maintenance required!
Pros:

The rooms were clean and spacious. Good towels and toiletries. Microwave and fridge in room.

The breakfast is decent. Gluten free bread is offered on request which I appreciated and husband liked the hot and cold choices.

Cons:

The shower was awful. It alternated between very hot and cold. Never stayed consistent.

The TV was the worst we have ever had. It was hard to figure out, most of the channels showed old episodes. We felt like we were in the 90’s!
Trying to watch the World Cup was frustrating as the feed kept blacking out and the TV would freeze. This also happened on other channels.
The Air Conditioning was non existent so it was too warm in the room.

Be careful in the hallways as the carpet has rippled and needs stretching. Easy for someone to trip.

We were happy with our stay at this place.
Pros:

It is an old building, but it is well maintained and was comfortable. The breakfast was very good.

Cons:

There was no blanket or quilt on the bed or in the closets!
