L’endroit est sympa au bord de la rivière. Un beau jardin avec des phacochères qui s’y promènent.
La.chambre mérite d’être refaite, et un manque de propreté. Le prix payé est largement élevé vu la chambre.
Location on the Zambezi River is amazing with awesome sunset views.
Considering that this hotel charged us USD 400 per night per double room, I would expect them to reinvest some of this money into maintaining their rooms, nope that is not the case! Bathrooms are dated and fixtures are falling apart eg showerhead in our bathroom was broken and water was coming out from the non-nozzle end, non functioning faucet in the tub etc Our group had 6 rooms total and we experianced similar issues across all the rooms.
Food service was taking forever, which was surprising given that we visited during offpeak season and very few guests in the hotel.
Location on the Zambezi was terrific
Beautiful buildings
Services were top notch
kitchen closes early
Riverfront , architecture and pool
No keys in the locks in the police toilets
Location on the river was beautiful. Grounds are well maintained.
Cost of buffet was obscene. Room booked thru Booking.com was obviously one of their least desirable rooms. Only option to book since property did not return calls or emails. Big difference in the quality of the rooms booked by other means
Friendly staff and close to the river
It’s was lovely
The location was great
There was no Halal food
The location of the property was convenient and a lovely view of the Zambezi river. The shuttle service to the falls was great. Enjoyed seeing the wild animals roam the property.
The property is rated a 4 star but is more like a 3 star based on the rooms, service and breakfast. There should be a deck which one can step on to enjoy the view.
The rooms were spotless, the staff was very helpful, and the breakfast was great.
Although the rooms are acceptable the quality of the food or level of service is not even third rate in comparison to the USD 30 charged for a buffet. We were never told we could order off a breakfast menu at what appeared to be reasonably priced for the food. However when we did order a USD 13 omelette which is supposed to come with toast all that was delivered was a tiny omelette. No toast. My Wife’s scramble was to come with scrambled eggs eggs toast, bacon and a fruit bowel. Just scrambled egg arrived. When asked about the bacon the egg was whipped away and then five minutes later it was delivered back with bacon. Still no toast or fruit bowel. There appears to be no training at any level even of the rudimentary skills of service. As this is africa I can accept that but I cannot accept the prices that are charged for such poor service and quality. As you will see from the pics the tea was served in a milk jug with tin foil covering it. That is USD 5 worth.
Excellent location, Lots to see in the Zambezi river. A number of extra activities available such as boat cruises and fishing. Suitable place to family and friends.
Poor food, more than 2 hours waiting periods for dinner to be served. For being South African to pay R580 for a bottle of wine that retail in South Africa for R90 is day light robbery! All prices elevated in dollars. Display of food of poor quality and you are very lucky if you order something from the menu and it is available. The setting is great though and rooms a bit dated. The hotel is also busy with renovations as the thatched roof urgently needs attention. Rooms are clean and linnen fresh. Sunset cruise was the highlight
The place is absolutely beautiful and the location along the banks of the Mighty Zambezi River is refreshing. The rooms are always clean and protected from insects.
DEFINITELY NOT 4 STAR. WOULD NOT RETURN.
This place was not up to standard. Management decided last minute to do maintenance without informing potential guests or travel companies. Contractors and black bags covering many of the areas, total invasion of privacy.
Room was small, unkept amenities made it very uncomfortable. 1 toilet roll, broken toilet paper holder, no hand soap etc etc
No Buffett breakfast due to low occupancy as per management - inexcusable
No water at breakfast and tried to then charge me for a bottle of water 🤬
While Richard & Lucy and his management team tried to resolve the matter by giving us a bigger room we also managed to see many of the other hotel options and would’ve no doubt chosen a different place to stay.
There was nice touches like a birthday cake, message on the bed and a bottle of bubbles after laying complaints however this hotel needs serious TLC.
I feel that management at times were embarrassed and avoided us after laying complaints with our travel agent, they also claimed to be looking for us to rectify the situation and could not find us- we were basically the only people on site at the pool on the day. We then had to approach them to resolve the matter.
While the staff and welcoming and friendly this resort is not 4 star, 3 a most.
Tranquil afternoons along the river are nice however most of the jetty’s are broken and a health and safety hazard.
Definitely would not recommend or Return.
