I booked the Park Inn on the back of a really great stay last year. We booked for NYE and I only received notification yesterday that our booking had been cancelled.
Upon investigation it is due to the hotel being closed.
Why has it taken them 5 months after they closed to cancel bookings? Especially with my booking having been made a year ago and meant to be in 2 weeks time.

The hotel closed in July, I wasn't informed, reaccomodated or reimbursed.
We arrived at the hotel and it had been shut down ! I had not received any email or message warning me of this situation. I spent a large part of my day looking for alternative accommodation in Cardiff as l was staying there for a concert. Luckily l managed to find a hotel . I was not informed by the hotel or by booking .com . I feel this is very bad management on both parts .l have been a loyal customer to Booking.com for many years , and now feel its time to try another company . Also l was lucky l had free cancellation or l think l might of been charged ..l cancelled a hour before the check in time .

It was closed.
It is in a great location, very close to the Utilita Arena for the two concerts that I was attending. Unfortunately, my booking was cancelled due to work being carried out during this period and had to find alternative accommodation.
I was disappointed that the booking was cancelled, but fully understand the situation.

The car park was shut and we were not given a clear answer when we asked why. We had previously been told the car park would be open.

Bed was uncomfortable, hard, strange headboard that moved, and no bedside socket to charge phones.we were told the wrong time for breakfast but were refunded the cost.
