This is not a 4 star hotel
Pros:

Location was good

Cons:

More like a 2 star hotel. Fixtures were cheap. While staff was nice the accommodations were so so. Several electrical outlets were loose and not properly attached to wall. Towels were thin and worn. The external mechanical window shade would roll up at odd times on the first 2 nights of stay (1am, 3am,5am and 6am) Last morning of our stay it rolled up again at 7am. Staff did not know what the problem was - reported it the first morning after it occurred - issue not resolved

Great location
Pros:

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well situated for strolling into town and about 10 minutes walk from the Arena. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel which can get you to the station in about 3 minutes. The breakfast was really good with a selection of continental and cooked options.

Cons:

The staff using the lifts in the morning / afternoon caused some upset with our friends who required a mobility scooter. It would be better if one of the two lifts was designated for staff and one for customers during the period the staff are cleaning the rooms.

Good outweighs the bad. Maybe staff need a little more training for room refreshment.
Pros:

Close to restaurants and bars. Easy walk to visit markets

Room refresher was not great. No replacement of used items. No face washers available

Francisco at the front desk worked a miracle for us when I discovered our reservation was for Sep 2027 not Sep 2026!! He was patient, knowledgeable and kind, and got us into the same room for 4 nights.

The junior suite was spacious and comfortable.

The breakfasts were excellent with many choices, and the staff did a great job of keeping the buffet well stocked and clearing the tables.

The location of the hotel was excellent, and a short walk to Piazza Bra and other attractions.

Cons:

Nothing.
