Ha! Nothing.
Our room was in unacceptable condition and the hotel was very poorly run. Problems started at check in, it took half an hour for the front desk staff to check the people in front of me in and when it was my turn she was rushing and I actually had to remind her of parts of the check in process. Then we got to the room, the shower curtain had been removed and was sitting in the middle of the room. The faucet and drain from the tub had also been removed and the pieces were left on the counter next to the sink along with a broken soap dispenser. There was a dirty towel in the sink and one on the floor. It also smelled like someone had been smoking in it. When we returned to the front desk there was no-one there, we rang the bell multiple times, phoned but the line was busy, and called out for help with no response. Employees are entitled to brakes however it is on management to make sure there is coverage especially during a busy weekend, if that isn't possible there needs to be an appropriate policy in place because sitting there and ignoring guests is never okay. When she finally emerged after 10 mins she was defensive, unapologetic, and combative. She refused to acknowledge there was anything wrong with the room, we showed her a photo and she was completely dismissive and said it didn’t prove anything because it didn’t show the whole bathroom. She was unwilling to help in any way, never offered us a different room and kept deferring to a manager who was not onsite. Another guest in the lobby told us we were better off leaving as everything about her stay had been horrible and maintenance had just walked into her room without knocking while she was changing. We ended up taking her advice and spent the night elsewhere.

A lot of construction in the front area and right outside of my room, carpets down the halls need to be replaced.
Neighbors BLARING TV from 10:30 till well past midnight! Told front desk repeatedly and they did nothing despite the sign at the front desk that reminded guests that quiet time started at 10:30!!! Next mattress was just slightly better than sleeping on a sheet of plywood! TV selection was good and room was clean. Those were the only two good things.
I don’t understand why this place is rated so highly.
It’s severely neglected in a few areas I’ll explain below.
I’m a titanium member with choice hotels loyalty program and booked a week stay using points I had accumulated.
First issue. I was given room that had connecting door to next door room and it smelled like a smoking room.
Second issue. The television was from 2013, had no ability to change imputes or use streaming, also was only 42 inches.
There was no service or attempt to make sure my stay was pleasant.
I had previously stayed at the country inn and suites Elk Grove village and this location is objectively not the same quality.
This facility also did not send me a survey after my stay which leads me to believe there reviews are artificially inflated.
I have to call the titanium hotline to lodge a complaint in regards to what I would consider an unacceptable condition of the room. (I’m sure they’ll give me a refund, right 😂)
I would strongly advise not to stay here.
These reviews are not accurate and paint an extremely misleading picture.
The breakfast had decent options and was much better compared to other hotels - the location was very good and convenient and had plenty of parking spots. The check-in process was smooth and same goes with the check out process
The room was a little compact, unlike the pictures, but rest it was fine - however, in this price range, i'm sure they can provide much better facilities/rooms - this price range does not justify the facility / rooms / hotel.
