Cons:

Ce n’est clairement pas un hôtel 5 étoiles. La communication entre les employés ne fonctionne pas correctement.
Nous avions réservé deux chambres côte à côte, comme confirmé à la réception. Cependant, en arrivant à l’étage, nous avons constaté que ce n’était pas le cas : les chambres étaient en réalité très éloignées l’une de l’autre.
En retournant à la réception, le réceptionniste nous a expliqué que sa collègue avait commis une erreur, mais qu’il ne pouvait rien faire pour cette nuit, l’hôtel étant complet.
Le lendemain, il nous a proposé deux nouvelles chambres au dernier étage. Malheureusement, l’une d’elles était très bruyante en raison d’un système d’extraction de ventilation situé à l’extérieur.
À 23h, nous avons dû changer une nouvelle fois de chambres.
Au final, une expérience très décevante.

Excellent location if you want to be in the heart of the city, if you want to shop for the best stores in France, this is it!

Cons:

The rooms are a little small, but very well equipped.
They could refit the bathrooms with standing shower, now the shower is in a traditional dated narrow bath. Can get tricky !

Pros:

We have been in the bar for a drink and a snack. The best Cesar Salat in town, crispy salad, tasty sauce, fine cheese and soft chicken breast. Excellent service and still a very relaxed atmosphere despite a busy friday evening.

Emplacement idéal au cœur de Paris, ce qui est très appréciable.

Cons:

En revanche, les chambres sont très petites pour un hôtel 5 Etoiles, la salle de bain ne dispose pas de douche séparée, seulement d'une baignoire avec une colonne de douche qui ne fonctionnait pas toujours correctement.
Enfin le petit déjeuner est correct mais reste assez décevant pour un hôtel de cette catégorie, avec peu de produits maison et une qualité globale qui pourrait être améliorée.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Sofitel in October 2025. We have to say it was the absolute best stay in Paris to date and we cannot wait to return in April. We were previously only staying at the Mandarin but truly are converted. From our check in and meeting Bilal who truly tender to our every need and exceeded the definition of hospitality to Laura at the concierge desk who went out of her way to find us reservations when needed. It was truly a 5 star experience and we cannot wait to return in April 2026!

We’ve been now to Scribe few times and each time we had the same feeling. From the moment we were seated in the hotel’s bar lounge Rivages, the waitress Lumi carried herself with a rare combination of poise, attentiveness, and genuine warmth. In an environment where excellence is expected, she delivered something far more meaningful, the authenticity. Her approach was neither rehearsed nor mechanical; instead, it felt intuitive, as though she possessed an innate understanding of hospitality at its highest level. In the world of five-star hospitality, luxury is often defined by opulence. Lumi reminded us that true luxury lies in attentiveness, emotional intelligence, and the art of making guests feel singularly valued. She is not merely a waitress; she is a custodian of experience and a brilliant ambassador of this place. We will keep in touch and definitely return to see her again and again and again….to enchant us with her simplicity, yet sophisticated way of delivering her everyday positivity. She’s a delight.
