Mixed experience during Christmas period:
We stayed at Radisson Blu Hotel, Muscat during the Christmas period (around December 25), and overall our experience was mixed.
First, the positive aspects:
The hotel staff are generally polite and helpful, and both the rooms and common areas are clean, neat, and well maintained. In terms of cleanliness and basic comfort, the hotel meets expectations.
However, several things were disappointing!
The pool area was a major letdown. Sunbeds were removed very early in the day, it was only possible to sunbathe by the pool for a very short time. Large parts of the pool area were reserved for the Christmas Day brunch, which meant hotel guests could not use the facilities freely.
We were also told that the club connected to the hotel was free for hotel guests. Unfortunately, when we tried to enter, we were stopped by staff and told we had to pay because it was an “international club night.” Since it was the Christmas period, this was quite surprising and disappointing.
Overall, it felt like during the Christmas season the hotel prioritized extra profit over guest comfort, limiting access to facilities that guests normally expect to be included.
My advice:
If you are planning to stay around Christmas, I would reconsider this hotel. While the cleanliness and staff are good, the restrictions and extra charges during this period significantly reduce the value of the stay.
A typical stay at a chain hotel of this type. Would recommend and would return. The variety at breakfast is particularly good and the staff are both welcoming and efficient. My only two gripes about the hotel are the pillows on the bed - dreadful. So bad, I ended up with a bad neck and the fact that the swimming pool is taken up by swimming lessons and groups on a Saturday. Other than that, perfectly fine. Make sure you pay a visit to Maraheb restaurant which is literally 5 minute walk from the hotel - such good local food and so cheap! We enjoyed it so much, we went twice!
Myself and my partner have just come back from Doha where we also travelled to Muskat, we chose the Raddison Blu for our stay, the hotel has a beautiful Colonial look and once inside it’s equally Amazing, we stayed in an Executive Room which gave us access to the lounge (same floor), where upon we had food alcohol soft drinks in a totally relaxed atmosphere all included in the price 👌⭐️the Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner area was Awesome with a beautiful outside eating area adjoined to the Pool, the people who work there are First Class, it should have 5 ⭐️rating , it most certainly does from us 👌🎉
Currently staying at Radisson Blu Muscat and will be here for another 5 days — the experience has been amazing so far. The property is beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. The rooms are cozy and truly comfortable, making the stay feel relaxing and premium.
Service has been excellent, and a special appreciation to Sahil from Housekeeping for his great assistance. He prepared the room perfectly and provided quick, attentive service whenever needed. His effort genuinely makes the stay even better.

Poor experience. Could have been better with proper reservation and refund services. Front office handling of reservations needs a worldly improvement.
A bit older, but well function hotel with what you need. A chilling pool area fir summer evenings, a small gym and saunas. Located halfway between the airport and the oldtown.

The location is excellent, and the service is truly top-notch. The Reservations Manager, Ms. Leila Mimouni, exemplified exceptional customer service — not only during the booking and check-in processes but also by proactively assisting us in various other areas. Her ability to multitask and her constant initiative to ensure guests were comfortable made a real difference to our stay.
During the peak hours, Mr. Hany stood out as well. He was everywhere, actively supporting the team to enhance the guest experience. Although he appeared to hold a senior position, he did not hesitate to take on even the smallest tasks to keep things running smoothly.
Thanks to the dedication of the staff, our stay was truly memorable.

The staff are really friendly and helpful and were always ready to offer some suggestions and solve any problem that arose. Radisson Muscat is a great hotel with great staff.
Booked Room with extra bed but arrived was not offered stating not available.
Also booked two rooms through booking.com but was offered only one room with twin beds.
Located amid some very busy roads. Slightly tired decor but perfectly fine. Very welcoming staff at reception and staff good all round. Taxis pull up at the rear of the hotel if summoned though there is a taxi call booth in the foyer but we used uber equivalent. Fridge/mini bar not very cold and empty of any drinks. Breakfast was a good buffet selection and the pool was very welcome. Drinks may be got at the pool and I had a fairly priced cocktail - about £10. I would stay here again.
i came here solo. great service and has a lot of things to do within the hotel !! from the bar to the pool to the restaurant to the gym!! overall i had a timeeeee!! i wanna go back again soon :)

My wife and I had an unforgettable 5-day stay at the Radisson Hotel, and it deserves every bit of 5 stars! The location is fantastic—just a short, affordable taxi ride to anywhere you need to go. The atmosphere was dreamy, romantic, and truly memorable, with everything spotlessly clean and perfectly maintained. Our room felt like home, with brand-new, tidy amenities and a cozy, welcoming vibe. The facilities, like the stunning pool, relaxing spa, and well-equipped gym, were top-notch, and the breakfast and restaurant dining were exceptional. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional, making us feel so pampered. The price was absolutely reasonable for such an outstanding experience, and we didn’t hear a single disruptive noise during our stay. I’m baffled why it’s rated 4 stars—this hotel is a perfect 5-star gem in every way
