Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Kalamazoo, MI

I’m writing to express my concerns about my recent stay at your hotel. It appears that the property is being converted into a homeless shelter, and as a result, it’s not being properly maintained.

During my stay, I encountered numerous issues. The first room I was assigned had a very unpleasant smell, so I was moved to another room. However, the second room had inadequate lighting, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. I had to manually lift the lid and flush it myself. Additionally, the water was turned off for an entire day, and when it was restored, sand came out of the faucets.

To make matters worse, the refrigerator in the room broke down and leaked, ruining all of my food. While I would have moved to another hotel, all the other hotels in town were fully booked. On a positive note, the customer service was polite and helpful, but I am still waiting for my credit to be processed.

I would appreciate your prompt attention to these issues and hope to receive the credit as soon as possible.

The staff is very friendly. The room was very dirty there was residue over the night stand. The sheets were stained. Dust and hair found around the room. Would not stay again due to lack of cleanliness.

Very great place to stay

The room we stayed in was full of stains and it felt very unclean, the attendant was very rude, and the pool was indoors but was not heated so it was incredibly cold.

Overall good.

Nice front desk personnel

There was old food in the fridge from somebody else. There was open soap on top of the corner of shower. Was nice hotel beside the poor job cleaning by housekeeping.

My room was filthy. From a large amount of dust on every ridge (headboard, shower insert, picture frames…), carpet was not vacuumed, and linens stained. A number of broken/un repaired damages in room. And so many more issues I am not feeling in the mood to take the time to note.

Booked 2 nights. Loud people upstairs. Someone smoked weed which I don't care but was threatened to loose my deposit if any smoking. Tried to cancel 2nd night nobody responded. And staff broke q shaving mirror. Tub didn't drain. Fail on blacklight test. Pool closed 2nd time 2nd stay.

Very clean and the staff was amazing!

Dingy. Old. Not clean. Empty vending machines in the hall. Tub faucet almost pulled out of the wall. When we entered the room it was so hot that we had to open the window, even though it was 11 degrees outside to get some air. The towels were gray/yellow tinged. It was gross

Clean and affordable.

6:45 pm. At the location by Portage Road near the airport in Kalamazoo, there is a front desk person named Renee. After a super tough day full of mishap after mishap, Renee’s human kindness lifted us up. It’s this kind of service that makes people appreciate staying here. Please give her a raise!!!

Although it's "walkable" from the airport - I had to walk across some grassy spaces between parking lots, but there were also fences blocking access between some parking lots - I would not recommend doing so in the dark. Once arrived, pleasant facility, pleasant greeting.

They are so nice to me and treat me with kindness!! They’ll call to see if my room needs anything and follow through I love it here pay them more! Breakfast is good and the weight room is cleaned I like it here. Staff is always fun to talk and hang around pay them more.

Good service Mrs.Renee was really weet nice and lovely and understanding. The room was nice and good wifi breakfast was good it is really clean and cozy and welcoming offers coffe and has microwaves and fridges and can doordash food and also offer there own food doordash

There was mold or something in the waffle mix for breakfast. The floor around the air conditioner/heater was soaking wet

Comfortable and clean hotel. Reasonably priced.
