We had a road trip to the Bulkeley Hotel in Bumaris Angelsea from Co Durham. Hotel and staff were amazing. Food was 5 star we dinned every morning and night. It was sad to leave we felt so welcome x
The staff were lovely
It is looking a bit tired and parking situation for a building of its size needs sorting out, it is a free-for-all with visitors and non-residents. For the price is needs some room upgrading, the rooms are 2 star only. Food was good in the main though not exceptional. The positives are the staff who are lovely and a definite asset to the hotel.
The quirkiness, the staff, the decor and furnishings, the food, the atmosphere.
Room was a little dated and the bed was small, but to be fair it was one of the cheaper cosy rooms. Overall it was nice.
Loved this place! Was like stepping back into the 50's.
Food was great. Bar was very reasonable. Staff were incredible.
The weather!!! Lol. 27th August storms!!
Could not complain about anything really!
Fantastic place.
Clean and welcoming
Internet was down, one night cash only next night card only.
Location was excellent
No disabled parking 🅿️
Insisted on us booking breakfast at 7.45am, as ‘50 guests’ in at 8am. This did not occur!
Great location. Lovely homely feel with great staff
Nothing
The breakfast is good, but the room is facing a stair, and my mum-in-law was very unhappy. She is a loyal customer of the hotel, I think the Hotel should have considered upgrading her.
The room's view
Lovely well equipped room...cleaned very well every day..and anything used restocked...lovely outdoor area..and location fabulous ...breakfast food very good
Staff at breakfast were very inefficient...I had to ask every day if they would bring drinks..and every day I was told by the waitress she would ask someone else to come and take our order?.?...which meant waiting another on average 10 minutes for someone else to appear...were also kept waiting every day to order our hot food...
Second stay..A splendid old Georgian hotel in an outstanding location. With views over the Menai and Snowdonia. The room we booked was exceptional, spacious, beautifully furnished in period style with wonderful views, albeit pricey.
The restaurant and serving staff particularly the older ones were helpful and friendly. The Breakfast was ok and plentiful but limited in choice.
The bathroom was a fail. A triumph of trendy style over function. Water splashed from the open shower all over the tiled floor and doorway making it slippery and dangerous for other users. The bath was the trendy shell type with high thin sides making very difficult to get in and out for what I would suspect would be mostly older customers. The wash basin was small, had no surround for the convenience of putting stuff.
The car park was limited and there is a fair chance you won't get a place on busy days. This was exacerbated by one space permanently taken up by the gardiner's lorry, and others by staff..
Everything...
Parking was a problem...a registration number was given..usual 😊👍...but ANYONE can park there and nobody GAF!!!
needs some kind of a fine/etc to keep it so that Only residents can park there....
Great location and friendly staff.
