Location ,Room, Decor, ambience
Young staff all very helpful but would benefit with training. Ie No system in dining room. Bar staff not trained to make real cocktails. Lift out of service and the older clients were struggling and needed more help.
Location, fabulous, the front entrance is right in the middle of Beaumaris Main Street and the rear is overlooking the sea, the pier and the stunning Snowdonia mountains.
Staff, all the staff and that’s every single person we encounter where the best we have encountered on our trip in North wales having visited 3 hotels ,they where truly outstanding lovely welcome from reception staff made us feel special as soon as we arrived, bar staff brilliant always genuine smiles couldn’t do enough. I asked if there was any Welsh gins as this had been a feature in the other places we had stayed and the young man said there was Anglesey flavoured gins in the other bar so he ran to get the only 3 bottles for me to choose. I’m not a fan of the flavoured gins but seeing as he went out of his way I choose the rhubarb and vanilla which was actually very nice. Breakfast staff where a bit behind with service but again so nice ,apologised for the wait which again felt genuine and with a smile we could see they where rushed and because of the sincere apology we really did not mind. The cleaning staff of which we saw 4 lovely ladies again so pleasant and seemed happy and I have to say our small room at the top was emaculate not even a mark around the base of the taps we where very impressed. The hotel is huge with lots of lovely areas to sit very comfortable lounge with sofas and armchairs some impressive chandeliers and grand staircase which make it feel a bit grand .
The property is dated but the porch at the entrance had been given a nice modern update and if this continues throughout some of the other areas it will look amazing.
The lift had broken and it was a hell of a climb up 2 lots of staircases to our 2nd floor room 222 and we saw an elderly couple struggling to navigate the staircase and also the poor cleaning ladies up and down but one lady still made a joke of it. It was a blip I’m sure it works most of the time . Would have been nice to stock Welsh gins and whiskeys .
Beautiful old building, great location, breakfast food good, bar service good.
No shelf in bathroom, could hear next door occupants clearly, breakfast service slow, no parking space.
Location, ambiance and service
Parking was a bit stressful
The staff were really pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent. The bar areas are nice and comfy.
The bedroom was situated above the kitchen, so we had to suffer the cooking smells, the view from the window was awful as we were looking at the kitchen extractors and grubby roof area. The food at dinner was not as good as it used to be. It seems they have cut down on quality and quantity. If we stayed again, we wouldn't bother with dinner, and we would request a better room
The food was great.
The service in the restaurant.
The over worked staff were amazing. Could not do enough. Just needed more staff. Don't know how they composed themselves under the pressure.
Long queues at the bar , low stock. Zero stock at times. Not enough staff.
Loved the Hotel. Strictly speaking its a 3 star hotel so dont expect 4/5 star levels. Perhaps faded grandeur, except its not faded. Yes decorations are a little old fashioned (I quite like that), but its not jaded in any way - loved it.
Located right next to the Pier on one side, main high street on the other (and 2nd visit and we still havent been in to the Castle next door).
Only two slight drawbacks:
Evening Menu. Its fine - loved the food. But the menu is fixed, you'll start to run out of options after 2/3 days. When booking you can include an evening meal allowance. But its a cash allowance towards the food, not the meal itself or any discount that I could see. Seems a little pointless for gauranteeing that you will eat in each night, just pay for your meals for the nights you eat in.
Seagulls. Car parking. 4 of the 5 nights, perhaps a spot or two (IYKYK), wipe off with a tissue, no problem. Last night. Several cars were obviously on a bombing run from the aeriel rodents. It was so bad I'm contemplating ever returning. But for 4 of the 5 nights it was absolutely fine, hopefully you will be. And I dont know what the solution is.
Lovely traditional hotel.

All staff welcoming and helpful.
Breakfast was very good with lots of choice.
Staff very accommodating.
close to town and castle
Stayed 2 nights.
Room a little tired and no hot water on the morning we left so couldn't have a shower.
We did leave early but no excuse.
we paid an extra £20 per night for our dog, no obvious reason why.
would have expected a Bowl for water/food in the room.
because we had our dog with us we couldn't choose a room with a view so would have expected our room to have been a bit cheaper. total paid including breakfast with added £40 for dog £389.20.
Ground floor is very grand and nicely kept.
Good location.
Upper floors are tired. Room was a good size, but peeling window frame, partially unhooked curtains, rusty shower shelf, worn carpet.
