Convenient and clean, but dated and low quality
Pros:

Perfect location for walking around inner harbor, which is why we chose it. We also needed parking. And for convenience, I wanted on-site breakfast I included.

Cons:

Strange decor- like 80s meets Alice in Wonderland. Elevator wasn’t fully functional; the lady at the check in deck had to open it from the back. Trying to fall asleep with my child and could still hear someone blasting music and smelled weed wafting into my room. And the breakfast was pretty lame. I expected slightly more for the price I paid for everything. Parking was a separate fee, too. Like it’s Baltimore, not NYC. Let’s settle down with the prices. We had a harbor view but there was so much rooftop in the way, you could barely see the water anyway.

Pros:

I formerly lived in Baltimore. It was pleasant to return and the Pier 5 Hotel is a perfect place to stay.

Cons:

Elevator was not working properly.

Line to check in was too long... understaffed.

Location is perfect. Lots to do and see all within walk distance.
Pros:

the Staff was just terrific. They were helpful and always kind. .The folks at the front desk were especially considerate.

Cons:

The elevator was broken when we arrived. One of the Staff at the desk finally had to go "activate" the service elevator. Once we had our luggage stowed we only used the steps.
There is a fabulous breakfast menu; yet no fabulous breakfast. Breakfast staff were very helpful and yet it was eggs or omelet, oatmeal, bacon at the stations. Plenty of starch.

Pros:

I liked being right on the water.

Cons:

During the day the city and area is beautiful. But, after it got dark, turned a bit shady. I wish I had done some research before coming because there is not a whole lot to do in Baltimore except tour the ravens stadium which we did and the aquarium which we did.

Cons:

The hotel is outdated. Room wasn’t clean. A dirty rag was left in the room. The elevator was broken so you had a find a staff member everytime you needed to go up to your room.
