Pros:

We enjoyed the large pool and hot tub as well as the soft comfy beds and high end linens. The free breakfast was amazing and the property was expansive and luxurious perched high atop the cliffs! The walk to the beach was perfection.

Pros:

Even though the hotel was under renovation it was still very nice and comfortable after a long drive.

Cons:

The only thing we didn’t like is our room was so freshly renovated that it was a bit dusty in the bathroom. I don’t even think it was used before us since it was renovated but all in all it was a relaxing stay.

Pros:

The room was very nice, clean and roomy. Recently remodeled. The staff were very courteous and friendly.

Cons:

The property and facility was being renovated so you had to deal with the noise. Didn’t realize this until days after we booked the reservation.

Pros:

Great location with beautiful beachfront/beachview walk, easy access to the beach and plenty of wildlife right in front of you. Rooms offer spectacular view and stay is very comfortable.

Cons:

Not a single thing to dislike comes in mind.

Cons:

It was under construction and the lobby was closed. A makeshift reception center was used instead. The firepits didn’t seem to work. I didn’t see a fitness center as advertised.

Beautiful location, professional, and good value for money
Pros:

Excellent location. Value for money is outstanding. Laid-back, present and available office staff at check in and checkout which is typical for California and a notable outlier at the Kernville Inn, Kernville where we stayed before this.

Large, updated rooms. Spacious, and with binoculars in each room for you to look for dolphins and whales from the window (classy, nice touch).

Nice, buffet style breakfast offered starting at 6:00 AM and you can watch the run rise over the ocean on the beautiful patio. Pelicans and other nice birds will come down to see you. Great view of the Cliffs to the Ocean and also the town pier.

We booked a large suite but were informed the week before that updates were taking longer than expected and so they would like to give us tow rooms adjoining (we have children). They decided only to charge us for one room when we accepted which I thought was overly generous and states a lot about customer service.

Cons:

Text welcome stating "text here with any questions during your stay" but nobody ever answered any of my questions (bike rental, spa amenities, if at all).

Major updates goin on as just merged with the hotel next door -- seems the staff were stressed, and minimally interactive.

Huge disappointment.
Pros:

Room was nice, spacious and newly decorated.

Cons:

Was advised upon check in that my ocean view room had been given to someone else despite the fact I’d pre paid for it months earlier, so had to settle for a cheaper option.
Lots of refurb work going on. Main reception/lounge area was closed, elevators out of action, builders/noise everywhere.
Breakfast was very average.

Overall great!
Pros:

The room was very nice and spacious enough for a family of 4! The staff was very nice and very accommodating after the room we had reserved was not available due to construction still being done. The only thing that could be better is the water pressure. The property was very family friendly and a very short distance to the pier.

Wonderful Hotel
Pros:

I stayed here last night and had a wonderful experience. Although the hotel is currently undergoing renovations, the property was immaculate and extremely well maintained. The grounds are beautiful, and the view is absolutely spectacular.
Everything about the stay made for a relaxing and enjoyable evening. The atmosphere was peaceful, the surroundings were stunning, and it was clear that the staff takes great pride in keeping the property looking its best. I could not have enjoyed my stay more and would gladly return in the future.
