Hot tub and pool were incredibly clean. Loved sitting in both!

We enjoyed our stay very much as the location was good, a close walk to the downtown stores & restaurants and we had a mountain view, which we paid extra for. They have 4 Adirondack chairs outside looking at Bald Mountain, so we bought a bottle of wine, sat on the chairs and enjoyed the beautiful scenery for a few hours. The evening was perfect to sit out and enjoy.
Breakfast was good too - cereal, yogurt, juices, fruit, eggs, bacon, tater tots, gravy and biscuits, muffins, bagels, bread to toast and waffles to make and of course coffee & tea. There's plenty to eat and enjoy and the breakfast room is spacious with plenty of seating.
We got a king room with a mountain view which was blocked a bit by some trees, but overall, It was great.
One thing I didn't like is I could not open the sliding doors to get onto the balcony as they are bolted shut. The balcony is not a private one for each room, it's one continuous balcony. There was a side door close by our room to walk onto the balcony but if you walk down the balcony you would be passing everyone else's room. I'd have liked to be able to sit out on the balcony, and that's my only gripe.
Great breakfast, quiet location
Room is rather small and poor furniture arrangement makes it awkward (armchair crammed against heater/air conditioner). Mgmt could have moved the bed over to accommodate chair.
Just always such a great stay. Friendly staff, amazing breakfast, pretty location, pristine rooms. We always just look so forward to our Ketchum trips. Thank you to the entire staff for all you do to make this hotel so nice.

Disappointing Stay and No Response from Management
We chose Best Western Tyrolean Lodge because it was recommended by a local veterinarian while we were bringing our Labrador to Ketchum for TPLO surgery.
Before booking, I specifically requested a pet-friendly ground-floor room because our dog had a right rear leg injury before surgery and already struggled with stairs. Unfortunately, Room 132 required stairs from both the parking area and the lobby and offered no direct outdoor access.
The room itself had numerous issues, including an overwhelming artificial odor, stained carpet with pet hair, blood-stained bedding, visible maintenance concerns, and uncomfortable bedding. The following morning, an extremely strong odor from the breakfast area became so overwhelming that my wife became physically ill.
To be fair, the front desk staff was friendly, the dog welcome bag was appreciated, and the dog relief area was one of the nicest we've seen.
The most disappointing part of our experience occurred after we returned home. Rather than posting a negative review immediately, I contacted Best Western Corporate Customer Relations, submitted a detailed written account, and provided an opportunity to send supporting photographs. Corporate contacted the hotel multiple times and even assured me the property would call me directly. Despite those efforts, I never received any communication from the hotel's management.
Everyone can have an off day. What matters most is how a business responds afterward. Unfortunately, the complete lack of communication ultimately left us more disappointed than the stay itself.
Pool was dirty. ( Abundance amount of what looked to be dog hair and bugs in it) Weeds all over pool patio.
Room smelled funny. Almost like dirty dog. Floor wasn't clean. Walking barefoot I could feel the debris under my feet. Top of headboard dusty.
For over $300 a night was not worth it. I stayed at 2 other hotels this week and they were little over $100 and little over $200 that was cleaner and didn't have to worry about if anything was clean.
I like a quiet location - which this was. The pool was great - partially in the shade in the morning so I didn't need sunscreen. Hot tub was nice too. Loved being able to walk my dog on the empty lot next door without worrying about traffic.
The room wasn't exactly sound proof. I could hear noise from upstairs on some nights (although some people walk heavier than others), and sometimes when people were in the hall.
Great location
The bathroom could have been cleaner and the breakfast a little better quality food

Quiet and clean
This place has thought of everything. Games room, microwave and paper plates and cutlery available 24/7 for guests, books, board games, 24 hour coffee machine, free breakfast, homemade cookies and dog treats at check in!! Also, SUPER friendly and helpful staff and walking distance to most restaurants (if you don’t mind walking 10-15 minutes which we actually enjoy). The hotel is older so hallways are narrow and the carpet and rooms are showing a bit of wear but everything is VERY CLEAN. We really enjoyed our stay.
The room, the location, excellent staff, truly dog friendly including a leash free field
Everything was excellent
Sehr nettes Personal. Tolles Frühstück und kein Plastikgeschirr.
