Best Western Tyrolean Lodge

The location was great, walkable to town and had a nice open area adjacent to walk our dog. I appreciated having an espresso machine in the lobby.

The hotel was clean. Friendly staff. We had a pretty mountain view from our room that included a little balcony. The swimming pool was heated and the hot tub was nice.

I liked the receptionist. She was extremely efficient after I had a bad experience with people partying in the room above me, into all hours of the night. I was comped my room that evening. Overall, I had a bad experience. Additional note: I have always known Best Western Hotels to be associated with very great service and standards over the years.

Very close to River run base Lodge. Great breakfast. Great views of the resort.

Location Breakfast

We stayed here four nights while skiing and exploring Sun Valley and Ketchum. While the rooms and lobby are a little dated, everything is clean, and you cannot beat the location. There is a bus stop right outside the facility, or you can walk or drive to the main lodge. We left at 8:30 each morning and had a close-in parking spot by the lodge within five minutes. The lobby features comfortable couches and a fireplace; we enjoyed chatting with other guests each evening. There is also a 24/7 latte machine in the lobby.

I loved that they offered breakfast. The hot tub was perfect to go outside and relax on the cold rainy weekend with a wonderfully view of the mountain. Their lobby had a coffee machine that was good coffee. Also in the lobby they offered board games with plenty of space to play.

Loved the location and th cleanliness and breakfast and hot tub/fitness center availability but room was next to staircase on second floor and was quite loud when skiers were coming and going with heavy ski boots.

I love the charming gathering area when you walk in with a large fireplace, hot out of oven cookies and a specialized coffee hot chocolate machine, feels right at home. We always stay here. Last bus stop to ski resort across a street, can walk to downtown anywhere. Quiet and the staff is always friendly. Hub has amazing views of ski resort,

I can't say enough about this place, from Rosa who checked me in to the manager who helped me check out. I had an issue with my payment and she worked with me to get it resolved. The entire staff that I dealt with was extremely friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone going to Ketchum. This will be my only choice for accommodations when I am there. Definitely 5 stars!!

Very good value. The Best Western Tyrolean is a nice hotel with a good location for access to River Run Plaza. A bit of a hike to the ski lift but there is good shuttle service very close to the hotel. It is also an easy walk into the center of Ketchum. We did it several times.

At night you may want a headlamp or flashlight because Ketchum has very low light pollution. We were fine without lights but if you aren’t used to low light conditions a flashlight might be a little more comfortable.

We were also impressed by the free breakfast. Hearty food like biscuits and gravy with plenty of light options as well. The food was good and the service was excellent.
