Cons:

I am extremely disappointed with our recent stay at Holiday Inn ION. I traveled with my family, including my toddler, expecting a clean and safe environment. Instead, I woke up in the middle of the night covered in more than 10 large, painful bites across my body.

The bites were severe and continued to worsen, turning into intensely itchy bumps all over my body. The reaction became serious enough that I ultimately had to seek medical care. No guest — especially one traveling with a young child — should ever leave a hotel needing medical treatment due to room conditions.

We felt unsafe remaining in the room and had no choice but to pack up and leave in the middle of the night with our toddler. That was stressful, exhausting, and completely avoidable.

What made the situation even more upsetting was the staff’s response. When we reported the issue, there was no urgency, accountability, or meaningful effort to resolve the situation. We did not feel heard or supported, and there was no indication that the matter would be taken seriously.

Cleanliness and guest safety should be the bare minimum standard, especially for a hotel that accommodates families. This experience was not only uncomfortable but physically painful and disruptive to our trip.
