Exceptional location
Very small room, without any view, with very small shower.
I recently stayed at your property.
First, I want to commend the housekeeping team. The maid service was exceptional, and their hard work did not go unnoticed. Their attention to detail contributed positively to our comfortable stay.
However, I need to share some concerns about the restaurant and bar experiences. Across my group, we encountered consistently negative interactions with staff, including perceived rudeness and delays in service. This issue affected our overall impression of the property and led us to limit dining and drinking on-site. I have heard similar feedback from other guests as well.
I believe in fairness and constructive feedback, and I hope you will view this as an opportunity to address a service gap in your dining outlets. If possible, I would appreciate:
Very clean with great staff
Nothing.
Wow! From the moment my husband and I arrived we were treated like royalty. Such a special place to stay and dine.
We arranged a night at The Stafford for our trip to the West End. The communication from the concierge team before we arrived to ensure we knew how to locate them, I asked about parking and they offered to escort me to nearby parking, which was gratefully received. Alec was fabulous, so friendly and helpful.
All the staff we encountered made us feel so welcome, they knew our names, they smiled and chatted, nothing was too much.
We had lunch with my brother in law in the American Bar which was the best mushroom burger I have eaten, we all enjoyed our meals.
One of the best parts was finding out about the history of the building and we got a guided tour of the incredible wine cellars, over 400 years old!
The room was luxurious as expected and fully equipped.
The whole experience was incredibly special, London's best kept secret. Even if you check out the American Bar for drinks. The perfect location, the perfect staff, the perfect food, the perfect place for an amazing experience!
Thank you for having us, we can't wait to come back!
An excellent experience all around from the greeting at The American Bar trough to the final element of the desert. Each element of the service looked and tasted wonderful and the team were superb - both gracious and knowledgeable, with some excellent pairing suggestions including wines I had not previously experienced. I would certainly highly recommend and will definitely return.
It was my daughters wedding and the staff dud everything they could to make sure we had everything we needed for the bridal party to get ready
Unable to book three rooms next to each other
It was spotless, the staff were generally helpful and courteous
There was one doorman that was rude. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his name, but he was there in the afternoons and a bit younger than the other ones. (NOT the young one with black hair - he was great)
The one I am referring to, to whom I directed a couple of direction questions was passive aggressive in his responses- very irritating!
508 they are a bit tight for space especially bathroom
Bit dark
The service was impeccable. The location was quiet yet central to all
Nothing
The location is great. It’s in the heart of London next to Green Park, a short distance from Buckingham Palace. The main hotel is elegant and we had planned to have our room there BUT because it was my husband’s birthday they “upgraded” us to a larger room in the adjacent building. Our room was great, spacious and a very large bathroom. I have mixed emotions about our room since I never saw one in the main hotel. However, when it was raining and we wished to dine in the main hotel it was not convenient. Also the step out of our room was quite deep so definitely not handicap accessible.
We used Disney Points for our stay so our room felt “free” because we had no other use for our points. The Michael Cain restaurant was VERY pricey. I would not choose to eat there again as their vegetarian menu is weak and expensive. The wine sommelier, Sara, is great at her job. She is interesting, knowledgeable and professional. The included breakfasts are delicious. I have never had a more beautiful and yummy yogurt bowl breakfast.
Loved the big comfortable bed, penhaligons toiletries and coffee making facilities
Service at breakfast was slow and seemed a bit chaotic.
Check in was slow and there were big queues at check out with only two people on the desk. Having paid upfront for my stay I didn’t like the additional service charges being added to my bill on check out
Sehr angenehmes Hotel in perfekter Lage. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet!
Im Vergleich zu vergangenen Aufenthalten war der Service in der American Bar deutlich schlechter und hat viel an seinem Charme verloren. Wir dort 2 Mal und immer war der Service eher schlecht.
Staying at the Stafford is a wonderful experience. The staff goes out of their way to always greet you and make sure you are absolutely comfortable. Our room was lovely and a very nice size. We had a lot of luggage and didn't want to be tripping over it but this definitely wasn't the case. Lots of room, beautiful bath with large shower and separate tub. The bed was very comfortable. It's very close to St. James Ct., Buckingham Palace, etc so we could easily walk to many sites. The Green Park tube station is also very close. There is a very nice restaurant and bar (with a large outdoor area) as well as beautiful sitting areas near the lobby. This hotel was an amazing find for us. Loved staying here!
