Lovely atmosphere
Pros:

Beautiful, comfortable and really well situated. The staff managed a wonderful balance of luxury without being pretentious. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxed and we left feeling refreshed.

Excellent choice if you are looking for old world elegance rather than brashness.
Pros:

Very central location. but in quiet side road in St James with access to Green Park. The hotel is elegant and calm.

Good in parts
Pros:

The room was very comfortable and the staff at reception and on the door were very helpful.

Cons:

Breakfast is confusing. A very complicated menu and we ended up paying very different amounts for similar meals. Why can't they do what most hotels do and have a standard charge for a standard breakfast and then charge for extras.
Also the turndown service arrived each day at exactly the time we were getting ready for dinner. We felt hassled to get out.

Old money opulence with experienced and accommodating staff.
Pros:

I loved the boutique and old-English nature of this hotel. It was very comfortable and the staff were very welcoming not to mention experienced in providing that anticipatory service that I always look for.
