Just make sure you're not on the 16th floor

I booked a premium double room with view and Terrace and we were placed on the 16th floor.
I'm not sure if this room type is always on the I6th floor, but there's only 3 lifts in the hotel and only one lift goes to the 16th floor. We also later on figured out that if the other two lifts are already on ground floor, the only lift that goes to l6th floor will not come down. The Hotel staff didn't tell us that, so the first day we ended up waiting for a really long time until we figured we had to send the other lifts to some other floor first.

We had just finished a bike and barge so was nice to spend a few days in Munich and see the sites

close to train and about 15-20 min walk to Old Town
nice to have stores below train station for coffee and food in the morning

Tolles Stadthotel mit gehobenem Wohlfühlcharakter...
Pros:

Mein Aufenthalt war toll.
Ich hatte ein Zimmer im 15. Stock mit einer Wahnsinnsaussicht auf die Stadt und den Olympiapark. Das Zimmer war zwar ein wenig klein für meine Verhältnisse, da ich aber allein verreist bin, war das kein Problem. Außerdem war das Bad dafür größer als gewöhnlich. Die Einrichtung von Zimmer und Bad war modern, aber trotzdem gemütlich. Die Matratze im Bett war eher hart, aber da ich das von zuhause gewohnt bin, habe ich super geschlafen. Mich hat zudem der Kleiderschrank beeindruckt - geschlossener Schrank mit Schubladen, versteckter Kofferablage und Licht (!!!). Toll! Super fand ich auch, dass eine Bedienungsanleitung an der Klimaanlage angebracht war. Hat nicht jeder schon mal an einer Hotelklimaanlage rumgefummelt, ohne zu wissen, was man da tut und ohne wirklich was zu erreichen? ;-)
Das Frühstück war auch mega - reichhaltig, vielfältig, lecker. Wer da nichts für sich gefunden hat, ist selbst schuld! :-) Eine Dame ging sogar jeden Tag mit einem Tablett von Tisch zu Tisch und bot frische Shots und Süßes an.
Das Hotel liegt direkt am Münchener Hauptbahnhof. Ich fand's mega, da alles direkt vorm Hotel zu finden war (Tram, U- und S-Bahn, Hop on hop off-Busse). Zudem sind die Fußwege in die Innenstadt auch gut zu bewältigen. Sogar einen Briefkasten habe ich direkt vorm Hotel ( Haupteingang rechts, hinter der U-/S-Bahn-Treppe) gefunden - für mich als Postkartenschreiberling mega. Ja, es ist laut und ja, die Gegend ist mitunter schwierig, aber die Fensterisolierung war gut und als alleinreisende Frau habe ich mich zu keiner Zeit unwohl gefühlt, selbst als ich nach 23h ins Hotel zurückgekehrt bin. Es war immer genug los, um mich sicher zu fühlen.
Das Personal am Check-in, an der Hotelbar, im Frühstücksbereich war immer nett und zuvorkommend - so wie es eigentlich in jedem Hotel sein sollte. Dass dem nicht so ist, weiß man meist aus eigener Erfahrung.

Cons:

Klitzekeines Manko: Auf dem roten Teppich im Hotelzimmer befanden sich etliche weiße Flusen bei der Anreise, die man mit einem Staubsauger sicherlich schnell hätte entfernen können. Und den Gang zwischen Brötchen-/Brot-/Kuchentheke und "Cooking"-Bereich empfand ich als ungewöhnlich eng, sodass zwei Leute nur schwer aneinander vorbei kamen.
