Room was clean.
There were sample toiletries.
Bed was comfortable.
Heat did not make a lot of noise.
Towels were scratchy.
Room was worn.
Breakfast was a disappointment. Advertised as a full breakfast, it was barely that.
Location
Floor was dirty and room outdated run down, shower kept on dripping after being turned off, floor was cold. There were no thin curtains to allow for light into the room during daytime.
Location was great, staff very nice.price was good. For a single nite it’s doable.
Bed lumpy and we sunk in it. Bathroom was so tiny hard to maneuver. Toilet was way too low. Breakfast sandwich was cold and hard. Coffee was so terrible we went to 7-11
Clean, proximity to my daughter who lives close by, ground floor unit very easy to access the room even with all the recent snowstorms.
The room needed an up grade. The chair was dirty. Run down looking.
Cleaniness
Breakfast
Good price and location. Staff seemed nice.
Breakfast was very basic, nothing special. Some facilities needed repairs: pool closed; exercise room TV not working; and bathtub very slow.
The breakfast, parking access, and service were great. The room was ample size, clean and comfortable. It was exceptionally hot weather, and we were disappointed that the pool was unavailable. Great location, walkable eateries, pharmacy, and neighborhood for a stroll.
Pool, pool, pool!
Location felt secure
The only protein available at breakfast was the inside of a sausage & egg breakfast sandwich: I would have to eat 3 or 4 of those, but I don't like sausage.
The staff, from the front desk to the cleaners, day & night, were always pleasant and ready to help. Although the motel was hidden behind a Chase Bank (GPS would say "you have arrived" & all you see is the bank), it is walkable to some things like a nail place, pizza, Japanese restaurant. The bathroom had a curtain rod that allowed for extra room inside the shower. The provided toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner & lotion) were nice but tiny (except the soaps were ample). There is no shower cap. The towels are soft. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, not at all saggy, the bedding was really nice, everything was clean. The flooring is what is known as "luxury vinyl plank" but there's nothing luxury about it. The fake "knots" in the "planks" stick out, so it constantly looks like you've spilled something onto the flooring. The breakfast, while not including the usual hotel fare of eggs, bacon, etc., was pretty good for "pre-fab"- sort of what you could pick up at a gas station (wrapped sausage egg & cheese bagels, donuts, hostess cakes, convenience wrapped mini-waffles, coffee dispenser, juice dispenser, toaster with selection of bready things to toast, individual serving boxes of cereal - pleasant surprise was the availability of almond milk in addition to regular milk plus several different kinds of fresh fruit & individual fruit cups. The air conditioner unit was responsive.
It charges like a fancy hotel but it's really a motel, where you drive up to your room door, so you hear all the cars chirping locked/unlocked, people packing stuff etc. There's space inside for your bed & the TV unit that holds the tiny mini-fridge & microwave, some space for a sink & small closet, with a tub/toilet room separated by a door. There's not enough room in there for a towel rack anywhere except above the toilet, which makes for awkward towel hanging, plus one of the nicely rolled up fresh ones fell in when removed one. The closet rack is very low, about eye level, so don't bring anything long to hang. There are no coat hooks by the door or anyplace to stow a wet raincoat, etc. The card keys always had to be refreshed so I was often locked out. After the first day, I just made it routine to stop by the front desk to get new card keys so I wouldn't have to try to enter only to find out I needed to go to the lobby for new keys first. The lobby only has one door facing the even-numbered room side of the building, so if you're put in an odd-numbered room, you have to walk around the whole building to get into the lobby even though it runs the length of the building. This is a problem for a handicapped person like me. Due to my handicap, I had stressed the need to be placed in an accessible room near a handicapped parking spot. When I checked in, I double checked but the guy at the desk told me he "had no idea" whether me room was compliant or in front of a handicapped spot (it wasn't compliant, but it was nearby to a spot). The pool was not open. There were always bugs (ticks, moths, water bugs) falling on the floor (alive) from somewhere, (the bathroom vent/ the air conditioning unit?) If they had made it into the bed I would have checked out. -Also, there didn't appear to be mosquitos or flies buzzing around, just things falling on their backs on the floor.
3 out of 10
Keys never worked, room not cleaned one day, had to ask for clean towels had to ask for toilet paper. Stayed at two of your places on the trip will never be back they should be torn down or updated.
