Extremely enjoyable despite the hiccups!
Pros:

The rooms the layout the indoor / outdoor facilities the pool and the live band!

Cons:

Would’ve been good to have know what was available and where - went on an explore but missed out on much. Maybe the info was on the screen but the TV in my room didn’t work. All the staff were lovely and helpful . I booked my early morning 6am car to the airport repeatedly as reception didn’t confirm and repeatedly had no record of it. No one called me when the car arrived . Haven’t received itemised bill for my extras yet!

We had a wonderful stay with a slight pinch on the pocket.
Pros:

The location is the USP of this hotel and is known to everyone. The in house amenities and the facilities are superb considering that you dont have to venture out to the city for pubbing, clubbing and dining.

Cons:

The rooms need an upgrade as this is an old hotel and the room price does not correspond well with the standard of the rooms offfered. The linens also exhibits sign and colour of overuse. Either the room tariff has to be reduced or the rooms upgraded.

Not a place for a peaceful night!

V noisy and it felt like you have to stay in a lounge. V dark and dingy and didn't like the lobby at all.

Pros:

The room is comfortable to stay in. The housekeeping service is also good.

Cons:

The airport shuttle service was expensive, and I wanted to cancel my reservation. However, the manager in charge of this process was unhelpful, and their refund policy was poor. I also didn't like loud music, even at midnight; I could hear it from my room.

Check in took more than 1 hour even though we specifically said while booking that we would arrive at 1 30 pm . We went away for lunch at 6 Ballygunge without being checked in , our luggage scattered on the floor , and even after we came back at 4 PM , we had to wait for ten minutes to get the key card. The cash receipts were not handed over after request at checkout. Even an extra bed ( specifically requested during booking ) took half a day and three calls to reception before it was provided.

Loud Noise from the Roxy nightclub in the hotel premises kept us awake till 4 AM. Unprecedented experience in a supposedly five star hotel. Very unpleasant . Dirty and dusty too. Management seems to be focused on nightclub activities only and not hotel rooms or guests. Hotel guests are unwelcome intruders here.
