Negatives
Rooms need a refresh , esp the bathrooms
Mini store on site with snacks toiletries- nice to have but off the chart expensive so bring your own food drink etc.
no microwave in room but there is one you can use in mini store
Pool area sad I had looked forward to the hot tub but it has been cemented in. Pool small and didn’t seem clean so didn’t use.
staff was personable, attentive .....they were superb
Hotel was clean.....overall appearance such as showers, rooms in general sure could use an update. the conditions takes away from the cleanliness especially for the price.
We stayed overnight in San Francisco because of a delayed flight. Air Canada provided for our stay at Double Tree By Hilton North Bayfront Brisbane. This hotel is one of two Double Tree hotels in San Francisco airport. This hotel has no airport shuttle so we took a Lyft car to stay here. The reception area is of average size. At the back of the reception desk there is a small store selling food and other necessities you might need for a hotel stay.
Our room was spacious with two double beds, a small fridge and coffee making machine.Breakfast is not free .Choice of Continental ($14.99++) and full ($25++)
Location to the airport is great and not far off the freeway.
The restaurant
The fact that parking needs to be paid and that the rate is kind of high
I rented two rooms at this hotel for 3 days. As soon as we entered the rooms, you could smell the dirty odor. Outlets were broken, the shower tub drain was broken, the remote didn’t work, and I expected much more from a Hilton hotel.
I asked for a manager twice and did not get to speak with one during my stay. When I told the guy about my rooms issues, he simply asked “What do you want?” It made me feel like they encounter complaints often.
On top of that, parking is $45/day plus tax, paid for through an app, vs the hotel charging directly on your room receipt.
Their guest services manager emailed me after I contacted Hilton via their AI chatbot after checkout.
All was good until I received email receipts for two people which includes their name, address, and other information. I will not post the screenshots to protect the privacy of those affected. It begs the questions: who did they email my information to? How many times has DoubleTree done this, and what are they going to do to fix it? Looks like those folks complained as well as they both received refunds for their rooms.
If you like your hotel rooms visibly dirty and in disrepair, by all means, book a room and take a chance! They do have a Peleton in the exercise room and there were two employees that were really nice.
DoubleTree by Hilton will take as much money from you as they can. Their store is super expensive and items are marked up as much as 500%.
It’s not close to anything so it’s not as chaotic as staying in the main San Francisco area. Also close to a lake.
I was pretty disappointed with my stay at this Hilton. You end up paying for everything. Parking alone was ridiculously expensive at $40 per night, which was definitely more than what was advertised when I booked.
For the price, the amenities were very bare-bones. There was no microwave, hair dryer was barely working and very dirty, and not even basic items like toothpaste or a toothbrush were provided. Housekeeping was only every other day, which felt underwhelming given the cost of the room.
Overall, it was much more expensive than it was worth. I could have gotten a significantly better deal elsewhere for the same price, or less. If you’re fine paying extra for almost everything and don’t need many amenities, this might work for you. otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Location, staff was good, would recommend
Very good proximity to the airport and has long-term parking
Everything was delightful
Great Bed and room size.Friendly staff. Warm cookies at check in.
Bath fan did not work.
Noise in the morning if trying to sleep in.
