Scandic Bergen City

It’s perfect location for the tourists, city just like walking distance and the reception are nicer.

A quiet corner room facing the city and Fløyen mountain. Decor is an odd combination of Scandi minimalist and velvety Rococo couch. Very clean and new feeling. Would be nice to have USB charging ports. Staff are friendly and helpful-ask at the front desk to book a taxi or use the selfserve kiosk in the lobby.

Loved that there were no carpets in the room. The breakfast was sensational. The hallways were dark and a bit dreary. I would suggest getting rid of all the carpeting and repainting the walls.

Nice and cosy hotel

The room we are in is in a totally different building from the main lobby. As it rains almost constantly, we have to walk outside to the main building to get our breakfast.
The layout of our room is not conducive to any kind of maneuvering about. There is a desk whic is way too big for the room. The lighting was totally inadequate. There was not even a box of tissues anywhere to be found. I would definitely not recommend staying here.

Room was very noisy in older section across the street from reception People yelling and very loud until 430 am No phone in room to call reception No noticeable security cobblestone street with very noisy traffic loud music and motorcycle roaring by . Breakfast was excellent at reception hotel ! No offer to relocate us as fully booked

The lobby and restaurant area were nice. The hallway and room smelled like a medical unit of a hospital - the best way I can describe this to people that don’t know is basically like a public bathroom that tried to be cleaned with cheap or watered down cleaning products. There was hair in the bathroom and on the towels that were not ours; there was pubic hair in the bed that was not ours. Overall I just felt dirty in this hotel but luckily my stay was only for one night. The area is walkable to the rest of the city. There is construction outside that started at 730am.

Friendly helpful staff but no breakfast or bar in our accommodation.

Great location. Our room was in an older building and was in need of an update but the bed was comfortable.

Room temperature is not adjustable but they provided a portable fan in the room. We stayed at 4 different Scandic’s during our trip and this one missed the mark compared to the other 3.

Not a Four star property. Most probably 1-2 star category. Not worth the money. Too old and outdated building. Poor amenities. Rooms are not cleaned automatically. Strange enough you have to register prior day evening before 11pm if you want your room to be cleaned next day. Staffs are friendly.

Liked: close to all amenities. Friendly and helpful staff.
Didn't like: Condition of bathroom was sub-par. Dirty shower curtain and broken tiles. No tissues. No face clothes.

It was nice to be able to get on and off the Havila Voyages cruise ship nearby. To get to Bergen Airport, I went to the stop, which was only two minutes away, twice to wait for the B50 and B51 buses, but they never came. So I gave up and went to Bybanen in the central area. They don't accept cash, so I paid 25kr with a credit card. The ride to the airport was about 40-45 minutes. I got my tax refund at the book shop, which I used to get my credit card (they don't give cash). There was no money exchange. I think I'll have to go to the US and exchange it for US dollars.
