Pros:

Very close to the event I was going to, so the location was great for me. The hotel itself was nice, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the highlight, with lots of tasty and somewhat creative choices.

The hotel is very conveniently situated for an overnight stay en route to other parts of Germany.
Pros:

We received a warm welcome from very friendly staff. Dinner was good value for money and tasted excellent. There was an extensive variety on offer for breakfast.

Zimmer waren bei Ankunft sauber. Sehr nettes Personal. Unsere Fahrräder konnten wir problemlos in einem der Tagungsräume abstellen. 30 Minuten parken zum Ausladen vor der Tür sind kostenlos, es sind genug Parkmöglichkeiten vorhanden.

Cons:

Das Parken auf dem Hotelparkplatz ist mit 15€ pro Tag viel teurer als auf den Straßen rund ums Hotel. Die Aussenanlage rund um den Pool hat wenig Sitz- und Liegegelegenheiten, die Fotos auf der Webseite sind nicht mehr aktuell, das Klettergerüst ist z.B. nicht mehr vorhanden. Die Badezimmer haben keine Lüftung, was nach dem Duschen lange für feuchte Luft sorgt.

Wir haben kein Frühstück genommen. Die Lage war gut. Wir sind mit dem Bus oder Uber in die Stadt gefahren.

Easy hotel to access if you are roaming the area.
Pros:

Hotel was easy to access. Our trip was meant for visit to F1 race in Belgium and it was super easy to get to and from. Standard Mercure quality. Breakfast had enough variety. The bed was comfortable and parking was right in front of the hotel.

Cons:

The hotel could use some renovating or refreshing of the rooms (carpets and bathrooms), nothing major, it was clean but looked like it has been used a lot.

Pleasant, add ons made it expensive
Pros:

Rooms were good. Late check out 12 was good. Staff were great.

Cons:

The add ons made the stay expensive: paying extra money for parking, the dog and bed tax... Came to 50 euros!! Booked it for the pool ..it was ok but can't swim until 10am

Hidden pet policy and €125 cancellation fee
The hotel states that cats are accepted, so we booked a room. Only after booking were we informed that cats must remain inside their carriers whenever guests leave the room.
I would never agree to leave my cats confined in small carriers for hours, and this important restriction was not disclosed before booking. Had I known about it, I simply would not have booked.
When I explained this and cancelled the reservation, I was still charged €125.
Accepting pets, disclosing restrictive conditions only after booking, and then charging the guest for cancelling is very disappointing and unfair. Such important conditions should be clearly stated before a reservation is made, not afterwards
