Expedia had posted free breakfast. Turns out the hotel said this isnt true. Hotel is old, dirty, run down. Not worth the money at all. We stayed at movenpick in makkah clock tower which is a 10/10.

Stayed 2 days, beautiful clean hotel, excellent breakfast, slightly far from Masjid, lots of construction around, but that is Mecca. Easy, pleasant staff, check in/out. Masjid on premises, with Imam was priceless, especially for those people with disabilities, small children. Enjoyed my stay.

Smelly rooms
Pros:

The room we were in smelled of sewer. It got worse over the next couple of days. The maintenance came to fix it but no improvement. The next room we got shifted to had blocked sink.
The reception, duty manager Karim, was very unhelpful.
We asked for early checkout. The reservation said we could check out early but when we went to check out, they said they won’t refund.
Overall disappointing stay. Would not recommend

Stayed in this hotel about 13 years ago and loved everything about the hotel: Closeness to Masjid Nabwi (literally at the door step), modern room suite, clean and friendly staff. When I visited this time, I decided to book same hotel and brought family along. Everything went smooth but felt, the room was not updated with time. Though clean and housed us four, but I was hoping hotel would be updated with time. May be tower B is lower quality than Towe A. Maybe?

Pros:

Very close to Masjid-ul-Nabi. Hotel entrance and mall entrance gate opens to Masjid gate. Very walkable and great as it opens into ladies prayer area of masjid. All the good restaurants and shopping is located on this side of Madinah so Movinpick is an good location wise.

Reception was great, especially Jawhara who provided a complimentary upgrade with smmoth efficient service. The room toilet was very póorly kept with a permanent foul stench and moldy tiles.

Won’t recommend!
Pros:

Rooms are too small for this money. Took more than an hour to check me in. First room they gave me didn’t have electricity, second room had AC problems. Cleaning staff were awesome. Very close to the mosque though. You can get newer hotels with the less money.

Pros:

We booked this hotel for our umrah trip with family. I booked haram view and when we got there, they told us it wasnt booked as haram view however were able to upgrade us. The bathroom was so small and was not in the best shape. Wouldnt stay here again. Hilton and Marriott are across the street. Felt like a 3 star hotel instead of 5 stars. Paid almost $600 for a 2 night stay.
