The breakfast was satisfactory, rather than spectacular: the room was excellent, but I imagine more and more guests will expect air conditioning. The building is interesting and impressive. The staff were fine.
Air conditioning is absent. There was only one lift in operation.
The property is beautiful however our room wasn’t cleaned the first day and we had to ask for it to be cleaned then was it cleaned it wasn’t done properly
Booking was a mess and had to be down graded
Excellent central location and an impressive room
Great selection for breakfast , room was large and comfortable , ideally situated for what we required .
My wife found the shower floor to be very slippery suggests some sort of mat , she used a towel on our second night to stand on .
The staff were very understanding. The Duty Manager dealt with our situation admirably.
There was no air conditioning or even a fan in the room and it was as hot as a sauna. We couldn't sit in the room, let alone sleep there. The fridge was also broken, so we couldn't keep our drinks cold. We did not complete our stay and we had to move to other accommodation.
Staff are lovely, bars excellent
Really nice area - Short walk and great building.
Rooms are very dated, no lift working, no AC, poor quality rooms
1 staff were rude on reception I come to this location a lot.
And never had rude staff ever. There’s a sigh outside saying discounted parking for customers this cost me £36 for less than two days the women on the counter said no Discount
2nd no air conditioning the worst night sleep I have ever had.
For over £309 this should have air conditioning its ridiculous will never be staying here again.
The staff were helpful and resolved my complaint promptly.
The lift was broken, there was no air conditioning and the room was boiling hot. It was so unbearable that I left and moved to another hotel.
The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. We included breakfast when we booked, and couldn't fault it, or the service provided.
The location was an easy walk to the surrounding shops, cafes, and bars.
The whole area is very up and down, with some side streets quite steep, so if your mobility is limited, please take that into consideration.
The only minor issues were in the bathroom, the two toilet roll holders were loose, but the main issue, was the extraction fan wasn't working, so all the heat from the bathroom vented into the room. Given the external temperatures were high 20's low 30's, and a lack of air-conditioning, it took a while to cool the room via the windows and a fan.
I made sure reception were aware, if their not told about issues, they can't correct them before letting the room out again.
