Nothing specific
Great location, looks great as you approach, staff lovely, spa and nice addition to our stay
Room was too hot, no air con, in summer it must be very uncomfortable, cleaners ideally need to draw the curtains to keep out the sun
Location, gardens and food.
Very poor tv signal and it’s apparent this is an issue across the hotel that the hotel are well aware of as we heard others complaining. This needs to be addressed. Shower was not very good.
Close to town
The carpets was peeling up on the steps to shower room walls was mucky bed was far too uncomfy
Lovely building and grounds. Great location.

Portion size for evening meal at restaurant.

N/A
Location excellent
Breakfast fine
The lift situation is unacceptable, only one lift in operation and very slow. The other lift was out of order on our last visit in May2025
Lovely historic hotel in central Harrogate. Comfortable with modern facilities, well staffed, clean and well equipped.
One of the two guest lifts was out of order throughout our long weekend stay. Difficult for visitors with luggage and those with mobility difficulties.
What did you like about the property?
The property was clean, well-maintained, and had a very relaxing atmosphere. The facilities were excellent, and everything was presented to a high standard. A special mention to the gentleman who checked me in on the 25th at around 4:45pm — he was incredibly professional, welcoming, and provided outstanding service. He even upgraded us to a more spacious room, which made our stay even more comfortable. I couldn’t thank him enough for his kindness and hospitality.
There wasn’t much to dislike, though a few small improvements could be made to enhance the overall experience.
all good
Second time we have stayed here and it really is an amazing hotel. No faults at all.
staff all great. Spa very lovely. Food good. Towels amazing, soft & luxurious. Beds were so comfortable.
Coffee machine at breakfast tasted like a coffee machine, not fresh brewed coffee which was disappointing.
Understand it was busy but we did feel rushed with our dinner, I know you had full schedule thought & needed to get us out.
Bedroom very hot even though radiator off, window open & it was only 17 degrees outside. Shouldn’t have been so hot. Must be roasting in summer
