Enjoyable stay and good value.
Pros:

Good location, easy to find and nice quiet countryside setting. Staff efficient and friendly. Nice evening meal in restaurant. Good nights sleep on comfortable bed in a well decorated room. Everything we expected to be available was.

Cons:

Wasn't too keen on the coffee sachets in the room, very difficult to open and the coffee bag contents weren't to my taste.Apart from that everything was good.

Pros:

The location was great for our visiting purpose. Very nice village.

Cons:

Unfortunately we found the breakfast a little to fancy and not to our liking. There seem to be no lighter choice of a continental style.

Apart from the cold it was a lovely stay.
Pros:

I only got breakfast on Saturday as I needed to go out on Sunday before 9 o clock.
Monday the restaurant closes so no breakfast is offered.

Cons:

The room was very cold all the time I was there think because the weather was cold they could have had some heating on.

Pros:

Sadly, the restaurant and bar were closed, we didnt realise this when we booked our stay, so disappointing. There isn't any other resturant or pub nearby.

Relaxed, clean and friendly place to stay, would recommend.
Pros:

Excellent service, clean and spacious room and friendly staff. Nice bar area with lots of very well behaved dogs :-)

Last time i came down south I stayed at a travel lodge in a room twice as big and half the money
Pros:

I left as soon as i could

Cons:

The bed was big and the room was so small, not even a chair to sit on, the noise from the bar was very loud and my room lit up at 5am with the lamp post outside and the room needed a good clean and the blinds need to be thrown away and new ones put up

Pros:

I have stayed here before, but was surprised to find out it is no longer a hotel, just a bed & breakfast location. The restaurant is light and airy and serves good food.

Cons:

The interior is looking tired and in need of a deep clean and facelift.

Comfortable stay
Pros:

We were staying here so we could see family living locally so excellent location in historic old pub

Cons:

Pub closed when we returned in the evening so unable to get a night cap but our stay was over the New Year’s Eve week

nOT INEXPENSIVE, BUT QUALITY IN EVERYTHING UNDER ONE ROOF. pLEASANT LOCATION,
Pros:

Comfortable room and bed, excellent dinner. Not cheap but one of the best places to say just outside of Hertford.

Cons:

Bedroom door a bit sticky, but a minot issue.

short but very sweet
Pros:

Hotel staff were very welcoming and attentive. Charlotte and her team made me feel very welcome and the Full English breakfast was very enjoyable.
