Holiday Inn Derby Nottingham M1 J25 by IHG

I have stayed in this hotel a few times this year and every time I love the customer service and the hotel, itself. I work nights so during the day I find the hotel to be quiet its in its own grounds so you dont get any noise.

Location wise its just off the M1 junction 25 making this easy access to multiple places, plenty of parking spaces on site and EV charging points if you need them.

You do have shops around the place well within 1- 2 miles, so if you fancy eating out you can or getting some snacks for your stay. As a heads up the Starbucks coffee is nice from the hotel to relax in the bar area and watch the news catching up on a call or emails :)

Food is excellent here and I prefer this menu over other brands within IHG, service is always speedy and excellent.

Rooms are comfy well sized but the bathroom could do we extra room as that toilet is a tight fit for larger people :) you dont get anything extra on the TV but you will get a nice night stay and the heating in this hotel works so if you want a warm room in the winter this is going to win you over

Front desk has a guy called Rachit who knew my face from previous stays and called me by my name straight away, booked me in without any issues, I have to say this attention to detail makes your stay and on this occasion I extended my stay by another night

The hotel gym is out of order as its being refurbished

Overall this is a great hotel for business or wanting a hotel thats close to the M1 for ease of access to several places. AS you can see the building is not a new build so you have to expect its not flashy in areas like a new build but the character and staff make the place :)

Overnight stay before heading off elsewhere. Cannot fault the hotel. It does what it says on tin so to speak. Friendly staff, clean rooms and nice food. Would Happily stay here again

Easy place to stay with friendly and professional staff. Stay was comfortable and staff were helpful and helpful to help when needed.

Room was ok for one night. A bit tatty but clean and bed comfortable. Quiet at night too. Smallest bathroom ever! Hairdryer and bathroom fan didn’t work. Breakfast was nice. Free parking.

The hotel doesn’t look very appealing from the outside, but it’s much nicer once you step inside. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean, comfortable, and served its purpose.

That said, we had an issue with the bedroom door—it didn’t automatically shut properly and had to be pulled closed each time. Unfortunately, this caused two problems: once, someone accidentally walked into our room thinking it was theirs, and another time our daughter left believing the door had closed, only to return hours later and find it wide open. Thankfully, nothing was taken, but it was unsettling.

Breakfast was enjoyable, with a wide variety of options, though a little on the pricey side. The hotel itself was quiet, and we slept well.

Overall, while it worked fine for a short stay, we probably wouldn’t return. However, we would recommend it as a convenient option for anyone needing a quick layover before continuing their journey.

What a fabulous gem of a hotel, not the most attractive facade when we first pulled up but great inside. The staff were so attentive and helpful and our room was really clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with fabulous waiting staff, nothing too much trouble. We would definitely stay again.

This is a great place for a stopover or for a couple of nights near Nottingham. Staff are so friendly, hotel is really clean and comfortable. Amazing price and the location is ideal for us to stay near our family. Dogs are very welcome too!

I’ve never been to the holiday inn before but we went to meet with family who are staying there currently. We had to bring our young beagles with us to meet them in the bar! I was really apprehensive about it (as they are beagles!) all the staff but particularly Rico (sorry if I’m spelling it wrong) were so lovely. Rico even brought over some water for them and they were very happy! Thanks very much for making our afternoon so lovely. Sarah :-)

The kindness of the lady at the office was exceptional. She gives us very helpful advices to travel the around the city. We have nothing negative to say on the registration.

Good location just off the M1. Feom the outside it didn’t look like much bitnonside was nicer.
