Pros:

I loved the location and the room. The bed was very comfortable.

Cons:

Generally, the staff was helpful and professional, but not super friendly. I have been staying at this hotel for years and the last couple of times it seems like the staff isn't as welcoming and warm.

The Holmes is not a mystery
Pros:

Room size and facilities were great. The elevators were quite efficient. We enjoyed the ambiance of the bar and the attentive staff working there.

Cons:

The traffic noise from Baker Street was always noticeable and it was not pleasant when garbage trucks picked up trash during the night.

The staff were lovely and helpful

Cons:

We didn't have the best experience unfortunately. The air con in the room was not working and after many phone calls, at 11pm the night manager changed our room. We was forgotten at breakfast. Not great when your son is getting married at 10.15am

Pros:

Really easy location to find, staff very welcoming and place was immaculate. Really appreciated being able to check in early and with checkout 12 that gives you time for a nice leisurely morning

Cons:

The room we were allocated was very small with only a very small window. The air in the room was stuffy and stale. We asked for another room and were offered a better room for an upgrade price of £25. This is a much better room and we settled for that. Unfortunately there is no kettle or tea bags in the room and we couldn’t make any tea! Apparently there is complimentary tea and coffee at the hotel but we were not told about this. My husband paid £5.25 for a Latte!

The hotel is in a charming historic building and has a nice atmosphere.

Cons:

We saw a mouse in the breakfast area, which was very concerning. We also had repeated issues with our orders being mixed up or incomplete over two days. The hotel has potential, but improvements in hygiene and service are needed.
