Lovely understated hotel
Pros:

Great location, a few mins from Piccadilly & Green Park, in a quiet cul de sac. The hotel itself is lovely, with very attentive staff

Cons:

For the price you want luxury, and it wasn’t quite that. But still highly recommended.

A bolt hole in St James’s.
Pros:

I had to revert to the St James’s hotel after my club in St James’s Square fully booked.

The location is superb and breakfast brilliant. Reception clearly had trainees which needs to be worked on.

The twin room was small after an upgrade.
It is a boutique hotel with no outside space so if you want a terrace go for drinks at The Stafford behind. If you do not, a superb bolthole in Town. The doorman very helpful.

Fantastic hotel - I will be back!
Pros:

I absolutely loved this hotel. Very nice, quintessentially British interior decor. Even though it has that old traditional look, the technology is on point. Really good climate control and super comfy bed with expensive mattress, very clean and sound proofing is pretty good too.
The staff were some of the best I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with in any hotel. Super friendly, extremely courteous and attentive. I would employ them myself in a heartbeat!
Location is absolutely perfect for me. Close to the cigar shops and whiskey shops.

Cons:

Not one thing I didn't like!

A disappointing stay saved by the location.

The location was great.

Cons:

Room very cold and heating comes from small portable electric heaters.

There was some confusion about whether breakfast was included, even though my confirmation clearly said it was. The check-in clerk and reservations team both insisted it wasn’t before finally agreeing—but then said it was continental only. That detail isn’t mentioned anywhere in the confirmation or terms. They claimed that “good breakfast” on third-party sites means continental only, which felt misleading.

Likewise the situation with additional service charges when checking out. Although most were discretionary and removed when requested, you need to question them. Otherwise payment will be taken with these included.

Great location, friendly staff, need to sort out their advertised rates with actual rates

Cons:

Method of calculating the cost, adding on service charge at check in, rate being higher at check in than agreed, even though all this was sorted out at check out. Accounts dept did not seem to be in touch with reception staff.
