Good hotel for a short stay
Pros:

The location is great, amenities are good, the room and external areas were clean.

A seagull saying hi outside our window every morning!

Cons:

The damp. You can smell it in the bar and in the rooms. I know this is an old seaside hotel but that was unacceptable.

Room was very comfortable and I had a sea view

Cons:

The receptionist was very rude when we checked in. she made a big fuss about seeing my credit card even though it was all paid for. Wasn't happy to see it on the phone. Apparently that is a condition if you book with Booking.Com.
She seemed to doubt anything I said.
Fortunately the rest of the stay was good and the other staff helpful and polite.
