We stayed at Best Western Patriots Point every year we went on vacation and used to love it. It is now under new owner/management and the place is gone downhill. The hallways had strong smoke smell ( it’s supposed to be no smoking) the bathrooms were not cleaned properly and had stains. The coffee maker was missing the tray to put your coffee powder. We spent more time out to avoid being in the room. I will not stay there again.

Basic. Nothing more/nothing less. No comfort but its a place to lay your head down.
Pros:

Staff was friendly

Cons:

That mattress is terrible. Zero support. But hey, it checked the box. Pillow are terrible...again checked the box. Zero comfort.

Pros:

The entire staff was wonderful. They always wanted you to fee comfortable all the time and they were so accommodating. The location is in the middle so it was close to downtown as well as a 20 minute or so ride to the beach. There are several beaches to choose from to. I would definitely stay at this hotel again when we visit Charleston, SC.

Cons:

The only negative thing was that the toilet was a little too close to the counter so the lid did not stay up. That was the only negative comment.

A+++++ INCREDIBLE PROPERTY AND STAFF

This Best Western property is a little hidden gem amidst the hospitality industry in all of Mount Pleasant, SC
( and I have stayed at a few other hotels in Mount Pleasant and I can say, hands down that this hotel is my ABSOLUTE favorite). The rooms are clean, well lit, and very well taken care of by the staff. My room also had a cute little cushioned window seat (that my dad said looked like a puppet theatre) with a window that opened so you could listen to the Ravanel bridge. The breakfast is very cute and quaint and the buildings architectural design is pretty neat. There is a pool onsite and the entire staff is just the kindest and most genuine friends that you will ever meet. Thank you Best Western!!! I don't know what I would do without you!!

Home away from home
Pros:

Bestwestern at Patriots Point is my second home. The staff always takes great care of me. When I arrive afternoon or evening I am always greeted with a “Welcome back Mr. Cook” We have your room ready. I enjoy the continental breakfast a great way to start a busy morning. I stay at this hotel 2-3 times a month because the service is excellent, location is convenient to downtown and my business and they make feel like family.

Best Westerns are not what they use to be.
Pros:

This BW I would pass up; small rooms, no coffee maker, bad ventilation system, and noisy!
Manager/owner allows his children to run around and be loud; however it is easy to see where they get their behavior from as he thinks nothing of yelling down the hall to speak with another employee.
On the positive note; nice shower and good chocolate chip cookies!
