Great stay . The whole family enjoyed the experience and the marine also was great
Pros:

The rooms were clean the room services and cafe services were amazing welcoming and friendly

Cons:

I did not like the extra charges on the so called gift items . First time staying in Hilton as Hilton owner member I have to pay for tea and Nescafé in my room

We love it there and will be back.
Pros:

We love going to this hotel as it’s like a little retreat from the hustle and bustle of town.

Cons:

The rooms are always very clean. However, the pool area with the hot tub, bathrooms, and workout space really need more deep and regular cleaning throughout the day.

A pricey disappointment
Pros:

Its a resort in name only. Except for a very helpful and friendly Manager there is nothing worthy to talk about.
For a 2 week stay we had to ask for room to be cleaned at least 4 times. When you ask you get patronized and insulted.
They charged $2 for a small bottle of water.
Rooms are small.
Twice waited in the restaurant for a drink and left after 20 minutes without being serviced.
Had breakfast once and it was subpar quality and size overpriced. Started to take Uber daily to downtown Berkley and found way better breakfast options.
Really cannot think of anything good about this place after two weeks except one manager who is really too professional for this place. Oh, the room coffee was good.

Cons:

Room service is sporadic and you have to beg for it. The Pool and spa area is unmonitored with kids jumping and splashing making it a most unromatic place. They charge through the nose for basic services.
The lounge is small and cramped if there is a game on. Overall there is better service at BART train station than in this hotel. And BART station has only machines, no service.

I would not stay again.
Pros:

My husband liked being able to swim.

Cons:

Arrived late. Three groups waiting to check in. No one said “we’ll be right with you” or “sorry for the wait”, no eye contact. Jabori comes from the back to assist and is gruff and rude and exasperated. How does he think we feel waiting to check in for as long as we did? Then he’s barking at me to insert my credit card when I already had. He sure was all “bro” ish with the parking attendant when he came in- laughing and genuine. He was a complete jerk to the guest he was waiting on. I’m in the hospitality field and I waited two months to write my review to see if my negative thoughts might dissipate. Nope.

Cons:

The bathtub had a slippery film on the bottom that took some scrubbing to get off. If you offer free coffee please make sure at least one bottle water is free as well.

Comfortable stay in Berkeley Marina.
Pros:

We enjoyed our stay at the DoubleTree Hotel. The room was comfortable and the marina was pretty. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Parking was fairly expensive at $45 for self-park.

Perfect stop over for one night.
Pros:

The comfort of our spacious room.

Cons:

We were looking forward to the exceptional buffet we have enjoyed during our past visits and we were disappointed that it isn’t available on weekdays.
