KJ at the front desk made this hotel experience outstanding with his historical knowledge of the area and his knowledge of current best places to eat within walking distance. We hope to return soon. Great historical elegant hotel
The Louie is the absolute best! It is part of the Davenport family so you get all the perks of the restaurants, bars, fitness center, spa, etc, but it is small and quiet. We were there for one of the busiest weekends of the year, Hoopfest. And even with all the crowds, our room and the lobby was quiet and peaceful. Shoutout to Malachi who never stops working to make us feel pampered. And Jeremy was so wonderful with all the guests including some younger ones where he supervised a game of hide and go seek! Thank you to everyone. We will be back!
Loved the Historic Louie DavenportHotel in Spokane not only was the hotel itself amazing but their employees Malachi Wynecoop and Jeremy T. Went out of their way to be so helpful. They truly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. I was there to celebrate my granddaughter’s 12 birthday and they made it memorable!! We will be back!
Exceptionally clean and comfy.
The pool was clean, warm and beautiful
After swimming you have to cross the busy downtown street outside in the cold while wet, with people staring.
-not recieving my funds for a deposit back onto my CC without calling them.
- paying $20.00 unoptional. Included 2 bottle water and 2 tickets to grab a 12oz coffee or bakery food item (cookie, muffin)
-The cost to park with the Davenport is almost $30.00!! That is insane pricing!
The meter parking is only good parking if it lands on a weekend!
Don’t let the size fool you. The Louie is the smallest of the Davenport hotels in downtown Spokane, but it might be the most charming. As part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, it leans hard into its boutique identity — Victorian décor, quiet hallways, cozy atmosphere, and a vibe that feels nothing like a standard hotel chain. It’s the kind of place you stumble into and immediately think, “okay, this is cool.”
The room & property: Spotlessly clean, well-appointed, and genuinely comfortable. The beds are exceptional — the kind of sleep that makes checkout feel like a personal loss. Everything felt curated and intentional, not generic.
The staff: This is where the Louie really shines. Front desk associate Malachi was an absolute gem — part concierge, part butler, part jack-of-all-trades, and 100% focused on making your stay great. Every interaction with him felt warm and genuine. The rest of the front desk team matched that same energy. You can tell the Davenport organization is intentional about who they hire, and it shows in every interaction.
Pro tip: Guests have access to the pool and hot tub at the main Davenport hotel just across the street. We went every night and it became the perfect way to end each day before heading back to the quiet comfort of the Louie.
If you want charm, cleanliness, comfort, and a staff that actually cares — book the Louie. And the price is definitely worth the stay.
Hidden gem status, fully earned.

Clean. Staff was very friendly
Took 10 minutes to be let into the building. Room wasn’t ready at 11PM check in. Had to be switched to a different sized room that was smaller than when I originally booked weeks prior. Staff was unhelpful and gave misinformation. Would not accept Marriot giftcard as form of payment upon check in. Told me to come back in the morning to apply to balance before check out and then was told by another staff member that they could not. Really frustrating.

I loved how I first walked in to this gorgeous vintage looking lobby that was so cozy and so comfortable and away from the chaos of the original Davenport across the street. And I was immediately greeted by the wonderful reception person and they offered me champagne and I enjoyed my little glass as I sat by the fireplace. Everything was just gorgeous! And the service was so Above and beyond.
There is honestly nothing I could say that I did not like about this hotel.
Stayed here for our wedding and had a great experience. The hotel renovation was really well done and the service was great. Housekeeping did a great job keeping our room clean especially given it was our wedding weekend and a lot was going on.
It was attractive, clean and quiet. It t was also close to restaurants, entertainment (we attended the Nutcracker) and shopping.
The room did not have a chair to relax in or seating for a couple. There was no coffee or breakfast unless you ordered room service. It would have been uncomfortable trying to utilize room service in the room my wife and I stayed.
Close to everything and stunning design. Great price for value!
A little disappointed, online photos included spa, restaurant and bar photos, but that was not true. The Louie shares amenities with their sister hotel across the street, The Davenport. Maybe note this in the online description. I would have booked the Davenport instead. All in all it was nice.
Photos did not truly represent the Louie hotel.
Comfortable, clean environment for a great overnight stay.
