Great spacious room and all the staff were exceptionally polite and professional
Only criticism would be the to have enough water in the room for a family of four but that’s completely minor and didn’t make a difference on how lovely a stay it was
Central location, parking, HUGE bed, nice pillows and duvet, lovely big fluffy towels, slippers and robes, all the toiletries including conditioner.
Good that the biscuits were vegan friendly too. Almost all biscuits in hotels have butter or milk so that was nice.
In this day, a modern hotel should have a smart TV so you can log into Netflix etc. The process to stream off your phone was too complicated and not something that's done anywhere else. And not even basic freeview channels. It was like being back in the 80s...
Herbal teas would have been nice. Luckily we brought coffee bags and herbals with us.

Had to ask for room to be cleaned and take rubbish
Perfectly situated in close proximity to everything we wanted. We were able to check in early which meant we could go off out for the day. Room was really nice had everything you needed and was very clean. Breakfast was lovely lots of choice and parking onsite is a bonus.
We found the bed to be quite uncomfortable and the flush on the toilet wasn't very strong

ATTENDING FUNERAL WAKE IN HOTEL,
IT WAS A COLD FEW DAYS. BEDROOM HAD INDEPENDENT HEATERS, WHICH WORKED WELL, WHEN YOU UNDERSTOOD HOW THEY WORKED.!!!
BATHROOM HAD NO HEATING, AND A AIR VENT, BLOWING COLD AIR INTO BATHROOM .
TOILET DIDN'T FLUSH VERY WELL, AND ONLY ONE TOILET ROLL PROVIDED.
WE DID MENTION THE ABOVE TO RECEPTION ON DAY ONE. NO ACTION ON DAY THREE WHEN WE LEFT .

Spacious with friendly staff
The bedroom was a little tired
The hotel has had a number of facelifts over the years and the latest one is superb. The public areas have a sophisticated, modern feel about them and the rooms are tastefully decorated. The staff are very welcoming and helpful in both reception and in the dining room.
The building itself is now getting on a bit and the plumbing is a little flaky with air blocks and gushing water in our third floor bathroom. The water was almost boiling in the shower at one point and we couldn't adjust it. Also, despite the re-fit elsewhere, the baths and sinks appear to be original and dated. Everything else was first rate, particularly the bed and the huge TV. Wi Fi worked well.
The location of the hotel was excellent , in the centre of town walking distance to the theatre and shops . It is a very attractive setting.
The internal decoration of the hotel is very attractive with lots of communal areas all very comfortable.
The pool and gym were a bonus.
We were very impressed with the food , good variety which satisfied everyone in our group , both children and grandparents.
The staff were excellent and worked very hard..
The bathrooms were disappointing although adequate, they lacked hooks and places to put towels clothes etc.
They were very small and the shower was temperamental.
However the towels were excellent , good quality.
