Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Someone had been sick in our room and it stank and the bed for our sone wasn’t prepared. So we couldn’t sleep there and they didn’t have any alternative rooms.

Put in a room not fit for purpose, unsatisfactory resolution
Pros:

Nicely decorated, good breakfast area and outdoor seating

Cons:

Unfortunately we were put in a room not fit for purpose. Aircon that had been broken but fixed, dripping on a wet carpet, causing bad smell. When we immediately complained, we were told no other rooms available, offered a 25% discount, we negotiated free breakfast and accepted. However, on returning to the room at 11pm that night, the Aircon was broken again, dripping, smelling, soaking carpet outside the bathroom and in an unbearably hot room on the hottest day of the year. The fan didn't work, my husband has to fix it. We had a very uncomfortable night. Next morning, we spent an hour explaining to first the receptionist and then the duty manager why the room wasn't fit for purpose, we shouldn't have been put in the room and we shouldn't be charged for the room. They were very polite, but we were given every reason why they "couldn't" do more than offer us a 50% discount, including " we don't advertise we have Aircon" ( it said they do on booking.com which we showed them), to "it's not Aircon in your room, it's an air cooler" (whatever difference the terminology makes) to "only head office is allowed to waive your room fee (we've never heard anything so ridiculous), I'll get my manager to call you back". Still waiting for them to call us back. We are expected now to be inconvenienced even further by chasing a resolution to this. A lost opportunity to restore goodwill or demonstrate they have a monkeys. Not good enough, Crowne Plaza, stop quibbling over what is pennies to you, I hope the £60 you kept hold of was worth the lost loyalty and bad word of mouth

A slightly disappointing stay at what is otherwise a very good hotel, positioned close to the river, RSC theatre and cen
Pros:

The room was spacious with a large and comfortable King size bed. Coffee & tea making facilities were provided and there was a fridge with a complimentary bottle of still water.
The hotel is large and has good facilities, with attractive bar, restaurant area and outside patio.

Cons:

The single biggest issue for us was that the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room which meant that we had a very uncomfortable night. This was not mentioned to us beforehand or at check in and as we were only there for one night there was not much we could do about it. This was made much worse by the very hot outside air temperatures during a one week duration heat wave.

Fantastic! Would definitely recommend this hotel
Pros:

The location is perfect for exploring Stratford. The garden overlooks the river. The facilities are lovely. The staff were friendly. We had breakfast which was great with lots of choice.
There was iced tea or water in reception during the hot spell.

Cons:

My friend is disabled and our room was the furthest away from the lift so a fair walk for her. I’m sure if we’d asked we would have been moved but she didn’t want to make a fuss
