The property is pretty and clean
Poor service, no microwave in the room, room service food fair, order not taken correctly.
The grounds were exceptional, the rooms were comfortable and the best part was Emily in the restraunt. She is truly the Jewel of Regent University and the Founders Inn.

We have stayed at the Founders Inn several times over the past two years when we visit our daughter stationed in Virginia Beach. We love the classic charm, decor and energy of the space and the outdoor grounds. Jeanette was such a huge help getting us settled and feeling welcomed this time around. Stephan was excellent at breakfast too. So looking forward to many more days ahead!

My best friend and I needed a girls trip! We were looking for a hotel with a spa for the end of January. This place fit the bill. We were not expecting much just a nice get away and quality time together. We were not prepared for the care the people who work here gave us. Our first encounter was with Gavin at the front desk he was prompt and checked us in swiftly and gave us a map of the grounds. We found our room quite easily with his guidance. Our room was clean and quiet with a beautiful fireplace. Plenty of room for the 2 of us! We opted for a king bed so we could easily share movie snacks lol! The beds were comfortable and cozy. Our next stop was the spa! Michelle at the desk greeted us warmly and showed us to our lockers! The spa is private and calming. The relaxation room where we waited for our service providers was clean, bright and airy. The view of the pond was tranquil. Our therapists were Megan and Evie! (You will not be disappointed in a body wrap with reflexology with them!) They were wonderful caring and fabulous at their craft! We both had amazing services and kicked our relaxing weekend off on the best foot! Next we were starving so we went to the swan for brunch. The food was incredible! Our server was Emily and to say she left a mark on our souls is an understatement. My friend and I sat at at brunch chatting for 2 hours. Nobody rushed us instead encouraged us to connect and take our time. Then, It snowed! Leaving a beautiful cast over the entire property. The next morning we hit breakfast before our 2nd spa day! On our travel to the swan we met a man named Sam who was clearing the snow from the pathways. He was full of knowledge about the property and delighted to talk about it! You could tell he loved his job and who he worked for! His enthusiasm was infectious! He made our morning!!! Day 2 at the spa was just as wonderful as the first! Kat was at the desk she is an Angel! Vibrant and fun and so thorough! Justine and Kayla( I don’t know the spelling, sorry) gave us incredible facials and Rose and Evie gave us amazing massages! I opted for a second body wrap with Megan she is magic! On our last morning we had breakfast again at the swan because it’s very good! We met Lauren she works at the swan and was so friendly and attentive. You can tell each person there loves talking to the visitors and making them feel comfortable! The whole trip was above and beyond what we expected for Virginia Beach in the winter! We mainly stayed at the hotel as we were just there to relax. We felt cared for by people who never met us. It’s really a wonderful place.
If you have dogs they have one of the biggest dog runs/ parks I have ever seen. Fully fenced. I believe there are 3 separate spaces within it so if your dog wants to be alone it’s possible.
I will say that everyone is human and everyone’s experiences are different. You get what you give!

Staff not responsive to getting room cleaned,sheets changed. Requested 3 times but only got fresh towels once.

Climatisation réversible très bruyante dans le bâtiment 4. Après arrêt de celle-ci pour pouvoir dormir, réveillé à 05h00 du matin avec 16 degré dans la chambre. Beaucoup plus confortable dans le bâtiment 3 où j'ai pu être relogé à partir du 3ème jour.
This hotel is an absolute let down. They upcharge for rooms that are out of order. Our tv in our room did not work the entire time we stayed here and the hotel did nothing. The brunch is absolutely disgusting and the service is abysmal. And the worst part is our hotel room was wide open when we got there the door was just wide open not locked or anything. The hotel did not off any apologizes or solutions for these issues and still charged us full price. We will never stay here again and will encourage everyone not to as well.

Almost 1 year later we tried this hotel again. And again they are a huge failure.
The toilet was stopped up when we got there and by my 2nd morning there was still not operational. I am having to use convenient store restrooms. And even a cheap motel delivers extra towels to your room upon request but this hotel apparently delivering towels to rooms is beneath there snooty employees. The in room coffee machine doesnt work. This hotel is a "Tapestry" which is supposed to be exceptional service however this hotel reminds me of lipstick on a pig. It may look nice but its still crappy. I saw on another review management replied they have some of the highest hilton reviews which is laughable cause a 4.1 on google is awful for hilton standards.
Ive seriously gotten warmer customer service and overall better service period at a Motel 6.
Literally ALL the issues ive listed for 2 years and 90% of all the negative reviews they have are completely preventable if the hotel staff did there jobs correctly and up to Hilton standards. Literally none of the complaints are beyond there control or acts of god its all POOR employees who are lead by POOR management.
How this hotel doesnt fail there Hilton QA standard inspection is beyond me.
But i can guarantee you there will not be a 3rd year trying with this place.
