Very nice vintage hotel with all the modern coveniences .
Beautiful view of the lake. Beautiful swimming pool. Very comfortable and spacious room.

Poor customer service and poor room quality

Terrible experience. I had always wanted to stay at this hotel but my dream was shattered. On the way to the hotel my daughter and I were hit by a lorry on the aitostrada. Very badly shaken up we made it to the hotel at 10pm. We were told the restaurant closed at 9.30pm and no room service available. They wouldnt even give me some tea bags to make a cup of tea saying they were all locked away!! We telephoned the hotel after the accident to say we would be later than expected and the reason why yet no thought was given to our situation.
Throughout the stay the staff were miserable and very unapproachable. Everything seemed to be such an effort. No eye contact or pleasantries exchanged.
The restaurant was only serving people on half board and the only choice we had was a burger in the Piano Bar which was a cold and uninviting place. I would however like to state that one young girl serving at the bar was absolutely lovely, a breath of fresh air.
On our last night there was a small event held which subsequently took priority. The piano bar was closed off to residents and our only offering of food, a burger, was withdrawn, not that I would have wanted this. On passing reception we did hear others asking what they were supposed to eat!
All in all this has to be one of the most miserable experiences. The building itself is steeped in history and stands majestically on the lake but the standards of years gone by do not exist any more.

Great location breakfast is very diversified

Excellent relax on lakeside of Lake Garda.
Good pool, pool bar, good rest after day trip to Sirmione.
Property (holel) needs renovation, to be closed for two years for renovation.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect! Views of the lake are incredible! Staff are so lovely and looked after us well.

Superb location next to the lake with superb external facilities and setting. Convenient for local amenities including the charming centre of Gardone. Service was excellent. The building internally is looking a little tired but retains it's stately charm.

Hotel is grand, shower over bath did not move so water flooded everywhere. We were told to just hold it? Views are beautiful. No facilities for tea or coffee and no glasses to use for mini bar was told to use paper cups that were in the bathroom.

It was a lovely classic traditional Italy property, staff was warm and welcoming. Beautiful views all around the property good access to the boat tours of the lake and spectacular view of the lake during breakfast if you wished for the outside experience

Absolutely amazing hotel, full of Italian charm. The room looked directly out onto the lake and had everything you would need. Spectacular view.
We decided to have dinner there and that was a brilliant experience, service was exceptional, wine was great and the food..........
We had a table literally right next to the Lake.
We went as we'd seen this hotel last year and a business colleague stayed there late June and found out they are closing for a full refurb in October which will take at least 2 to 3 years, so we took the opportunity before it shut.
Hopefully, they'll keep the character and charm that is evident throughout.

Nice hotel. But dated but location and views second to none.

Loved the hotel. It was conveniently located and the food, pool and shopping were perfect. A ferry stop is right next to the hotel. It's not easy to get a taxi or get around from the hotel aside from walking, so a rental car or scooter would be recommended. But otherwise, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with a stunning view. Lovely lakeside pool. Breakfast had such a large choice.
Only downside was we had a very noisy room next to ours which did disturb our sleep. We did mention it but was told well you are only here for 1 more night. We were staying for 3, after the first noisy night we thought it may just have been a one off. After the 2nd night we did mention it but nothing was done so we ended up with 3 disturbed nights. So my advice would be to ask for a quiet room.
Also be aware, if you are taking a car they charge 20 euros a night.

Just an ok hotel with ok staff

The peaceful lakeside proximity is wonderful; being able to step down straight into the lake was a real luxury, as too was enjoying breakfast on the lake edge terrace. Staff were very polite and friendly, and provided great service. Room was spacious, comfortable and had ample storage. The lake view was incredible and a joy to wake up to also.
The only real issue experienced was the unreliability and poor signal of the WiFi. We also would have appreciated some sort of welcome pack with local advice and recommendations.
Overall the trip was immensely enjoyable and relaxing, and this hotel is certainly recommended to travellers.
