We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Shrigley Hall.
It was spotlessly clean. The food was excellent. The staff mostly were friendly and helpful. There was just one young lady who was not, I think she probably needed some more training in Customer Service.
We had no problem with noise level at all. The air conditioning was very much appreciated. The walk in shower was exactly as we required as we are blue badge holders. I am sure we will go back.
I booked Shrigley Hall Hotel specifically for my birthday with my friend and had an amazing time. I felt so welcomed by the staff, especially Charlotte and Sophie, who went above and beyond to make my birthday feel special.
The hotel has a beautiful, warm and luxurious feel, with stunning scenery and a lovely spa. It was the perfect place for a relaxing getaway and birthday celebration.
This was truly a five-star experience, and I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend Shrigley Hall to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing escape!
We had a lovely time using the spa, our massages were amazing, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We came for a break from caring responsibilities and the staff treated us with compassion and kindness. Will definitely be back.
Attended a wedding. Absolutely fantastic place, great food and excellent service. Highly recommend
We arrived at the spa which was so welcoming everyone was really nice and polite, we spent all afternoon in the spa so relaxing and then checked in to the hotel where again the staff was amazing the restaurant was so nice, breakfast was unbelievable
Hotel and spa experience excellent.
The Spa was super relaxing and the staff were friendly and polite. Loved the heated infinity pool.
Strongly recommend the bar and lunch menu in the Spa.
The cheeky peacocks kept us entertained, trotting around the infinity pool, walking along rooftops and appearing in the hotel bar!
I cannot find a single fault from my recent stay. An incredibly good value for money, excellent service, beautiful surroundings and just what was needed for a lovely relaxing stay.
Lovely day out, staff were helpful. Just wish the sauna was hotter and that it’s labelled what products are in the bathroom!
My partner and I recently got engaged at the hotel on Sunday, making our stay even more special. Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable.
The spa was also clean and well maintained. Our only minor criticism was that the hot stone massage was much more intense than we expected and, at times, bordered on being painful. Aside from that, we genuinely couldn’t fault the hotel or our overall experience.
It’s worth remembering that you’re not going to receive a luxury spa experience costing £600 for £150–£190 per person. We feel some of the negative reviews are a little exaggerated, and it’s important to have realistic expectations. For the price, we thought the hotel offered excellent value and we’d happily recommend it.
Amazing, I love shrigley
It's fabulous, can't keep me away, roll on july 2027
We re teachers, come here for end of term much needed relaxation!
Staff were lovely and amenities were outstanding. Just a shame that the bar was closed upon arrival.

I was really looking forward to my spa day at Shrigley Hall with a friend, but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience from start to finish.
The biggest issue was my treatment. I had booked a 30-minute treatment, however the hands-on treatment didn't begin until around 10 minutes after my appointment time and lasted approximately 10 minutes. I was back at reception within 25 minutes of my scheduled appointment. I raised this immediately and was assured by the Spa Manager that 50% of my £105 spa day would be refunded. However, I only received a refund of £22.50.
Unfortunately, there were other issues during the day too. The outdoor pool was far too hot to enjoy, the indoor jacuzzi wasn't filled to an adequate level, causing water to spurt everywhere, and several spa facilities were out of order.
What has disappointed me most, however, is the lack of customer service afterwards. I emailed the spa on 9 June to raise my concerns and, despite waiting patiently and numerous emails, I have still not received any response to my complaint.
It's a shame, because issues can happen, but good customer service is about how they're resolved. Sadly, on this occasion, I don't feel my concerns have been taken seriously. There are much better spa's locally.
Having seen some mixed reviews I was a little nervous but there was absolutely no need. I booked an overnight spa break with my daughter and the whole experience was first class. Super friendly staff, the spa was amazing, our treatment was lovely and incredibly relaxing - and being able to have a sneaky wine in the outdoor pool in the sunshine was an added bonus!
Our classic twin room was small but perfectly formed and very clean. The bathroom was lovely and modern. The evening meal was fantastic and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. We will be back!
