Restaurant ,food and service is excellent.
Only one gripe. Parking space Anna 15.00 pet day that we're not used to. Otherwise excellent experience
The hotel itself is lovely. The restaurant is good, the facilities and staff were great and friendly. The room was clean and comfy and the air conditioning worked really well.
Upon hotel checkout, we noticed we were overcharged by over $400. This is extremely frustrating. When I tried to discuss with the lady at checkout, she had zero answers for me other than “another guest extended their stay in room 314, and it was accidentally charged to your room, 311.).
This is completely unacceptable, however I understand that accidents happen. I was told I had to dispute it with my credit card as she was unable to do anything about it and there wasn’t any available managers. I won’t ever stay there again. Absolutely ridiculous. A 5 star hotel should be able to quickly address these issues in my opinion. I have disputed it with my card, however it may take a week or so to be researched and then reversed.
A great hotel for our family & friends for our daughter's wedding.
Suite was wonderful for morning of wedding preparation.
Wedding was at North Star gatherings.
Tim was amazing, thank you.
Hotel stay was really nice UNTIL it wasn't. While our stay at the hotel was generally pretty nice we experienced a really poor experience after we left and that experience carried on for another week.
Mistakenly, I left a sportscoat behind when we checked out. (My fault!) The sportscoat was left in the closet. When I called the hotel that evening (around 8 or 9pm) to see if it was there, first nobody answered the phone after 12 rings then it hung up on me. So, I called back. After 5 rings "Matt" finally picked up. I was told that nobody had checked into the room and they would look for the sportscoat but was transferred to "Kelly" to leave a message and she would contact me the next day once she came in after 10am. I left the message and figured I'd here back. Nothing, so by 2pm I called again, this time "Tim" answered, was very kind, also confirmed that the room was still vacant, went up to the room, found nothing and said they would look more and someone would get back to me. Forward to Sunday evening, still no word from anyone. Now Monday, (4th day) still nothing so I actually drove the hour down from the mountains to find out what was up. Front desk staff couldn't tell me where the coat was, so i asked for a manager. The manager would not come out to address the situation and insisted that the coat was not on property.
Fast forward a week, one day after receiving a call from the "Ascend Hotels Promotion Dept." where I let them know that my experience so far would not warrant me being interested in anything they had, I finally get a call from "Kelly", remember her, I left her a message over a week ago and she never called or addressed what they said she would. They found my coat! Amazing that a sportscoat from a vacant room closet could disappear for a week!
Kelly was happy to tell me that they found the coat and they could send it to me and charge MY credit card to send it. I had already purchased another coat since I had a wedding to get to during this time that the coat was somehow NOT in the hotel. So, I told her I wasn't going to now pay for the coat to be sent to me after someone there had it for a week and nobody ever followed up with me, called me back, and all insisted it wasn't there. To make it worse, Kelly first said "I wish you would have gotten a hold of me, I would have really worked hard to find it." When I reminded her that I had left her a message and she had never called me back, so the "getting in contact" was on her, she lied and insisted that she called me back, tried to leave a message, then the line dropped. There is not a single call from that hotel, missed or otherwise, on my phone over that entire week.
So, my caution to you is that the manager will not address situations and will hide behind his office, the staff will outright lie to your face, and your personal property may just take it's own trip without you - so be very careful!
Cleanliness, location, quiet, bed was so comfortable, staff so friendly.
Liked it all.
The location cannot be better - right downtown, next to the Creek
My room was rather dark and the bathroom was outdated
Great location and view ! New beautiful lanai!
Rooms large , need updates but apparently in the works
Property was nice, clean and in a great location. The Bridgewater grill in the hotel was exquisite
The bathroom and the beds. Bathroom was like walking into Motel 6. A/C system was really loud.
Great location on creek. Perfect start off point for exploring shops and restaurants or hiking along creek trails. Rooms are clean and beds super comfy. Nice drinking water bottle refill stations. Local art.
The bed was comfortable, the location was great. Staff were generally friendly.
Overall the hotel was decent, but the price was way off for what you get. Last year I stayed at the Boulderado in Boulder, which broadly speaking has a similar profile, but the Boulderado was much nicer in almost every way - cleanliness, comfort, food quality - and for $200 less. A couple particular gripes: the elevators were dirty and not very smooth, the fish and chips in the restaurant turned out to be fish (which was ok) and potato chips! My bad maybe for not fully reading the description but I've never ever seen that before, seemed like a bad joke.
Right in downtown. Staff was very accommodating and so nice.
It was a little loud outside the room at times. Mainly housecleaning speaking loudly or people from other rooms
We stayed three days. Even through there was construction
I improvements going on. At site it did not effect us greatly
The outside seating area will be a big plus when completed
It's a great location. It was clean and a nice room.
All the amenities were under construction, but they still charged me full price.
The garage was under construction. The drink machine was broken, and the restaurant was under construction, and the deck by the river was under construction. None of this was mentioned to me when I was booking this and paying full price.
I wish someone local had of given me the heads up that this hotel is just awful. It really is odd and cringe. Sorry to be so brutal but here are the facts:
The reception area is bad taste decor, plastic wallpaper to look like saloon or cowboy country. Eeek. They charge an exorbitant daily car parking rate but certainly no valet. No one to help with luggage. The room is odd, not clean, badly set out and just silly. Half the bathroom is in the hallway. The hand soap is probably the worst quality hand soap I have ever experienced. There is 0% soundproofing. The microwave is right beside the bed. There is a microwave but no plates, bowls or cutlery. The air conditioning is uncomfortably old fashioned. There was animal hair all over the chairs. There was hairs (certainly not mine) on the shower wall for 4 days, despite asking 3 times for the room to be cleaned properly. There was sewage smell frequently in the room. The mattress wasn’t particularly comfortable. The internet didn’t work. Room service burger and no cutlery or ketchup. The renovation is disruptive. The room rates are far overpriced for the style and offer. Really I can’t find anything positive to say about this hotel. I have got no idea how it is getting some positive ratings, there is something going on there. Maybe the downtown location is ok.
