Booked this hotel well in advance (July 2022) for Springsteen concert. It took 2 months for the hotel to inform me that the confirmed booking was cancelled. This information came after the date the hotel closed, so very poor communication. I'm really disappointed that Ibis and the Accor group were very unhelpful and refused to rebook me into alternative accommodation at the price I had booked at. Obviously 2 months later prices had increased. I booked through Booking.com who were equally unhelpful. But I expected more for Ibis.
Not much to fault with this hotel. Clean room, friendly staff and right where I needed to be. It's about 2km from City centre and a long walk or a taxi ride if you are not familiar with Birmingham. I went for the football, as the stadium is just up the road. If you are not a football fan check the dates as the bar area can get a little lively on match days. Really good experience all round.
It was very convenient & close to where I needed to be for the event I was attending at.
Very happy with our stay
Stayed for one night as a stopover on the way down south. Looked for a hotel that accepted dogs (£10 charge). What an amazing hotel for the money. All of the staff were friendly, smiling and helpfull. The room was modern and clean. Car park was secure with electric gate. Mcdonalds right next door. Would definitely stop again.
Nice poeple
Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband and 2 friends for a wedding nearby. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The manager who checked us in was super friendly and helpful. We headed down to the bar area to wait for the arrival of my friends who were staying in another room and they were checked in by Atif who proceeded to provide excellent service for our group the whole night. He was friendly, chatty and helped with anything we needed. A truly guest-focused individual. The room was sizeable and comfy. Breakfast was excellent and really set us up for a long day at the wedding. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel!
Good value stay
We were delighted by our recent stay at the Ibis, Bordesley Circus. Room was very clean and spacious. It was surprisingly quiet too, despite being on a main road.
We brought our elderly dog, Suzy, with us too and were warmly welcomed. The staff were amazing, really friendly and welcoming to us all. Suzy the dog was thoroughly spoilt by Atif who made a urge fuss of her.
We had a lovely stay and would thoroughly recommend it. We will definitely return sometime.
Service was beautiful
Used the Ibis Boardsley as a base whilst attending a week long course at St Andrews stadium which is just a few minutes walk up the hill.
Not a lot in the immediate area, food wise there is nothing in walking distance other than the hotels restaurant and the McDonald's located right outside.
Room was clean and tidy, however had to call for maintained three times due to an issue with my door lock, however the team were lovely and acted straight away to resolve the issue.
Check in and out was quick and easy as you would expect from an Ibis.
The restaurant for food in the mornings and evening was also good quality and quick service.
An all round present experience!
great value for money and ideal location but unfortunately the AC didn’t work and, with the days being about 25° recently, this wasn’t ideal and meant we had to simply open the window. the issue was that it’s located on a massive roundabout and so was very noisy all through the night due to traffic, particularly from about 5am onwards where many people were driving to work etc. if the AC would’ve worked, it would’ve been perfect but it just blew out hot air even on the coolest setting! also has to pay for parking of which i haven’t had to do at a hotel’s car park before when staying with the so personally found this a little odd. the room and hotel in general was very clean, however, and the receptionist was so warm and welcoming, i wish i had asked his name now! for £60 a night, not bad but a little disappointed with the AC :( free wifi though so that was a bonus! :))
Very fast book in, friendly but efficient staff members who understand that people may be tired after a long journey and keep things to the basics. A lift that works.
Nice clean, spacious room with a plug socket by the bedside (such a rarity).
Television size indicated it was a gift in a cereal box but with unlimited, free internet it's hardly an issue.
Very pleased.
We were looking for a budget stay after celebrating a birthday weekend but there’s nothing budget about Ibis but the price. We booked via bookings.com and the pictures really don’t do it justice. The rooms are spacious, clean and we were so impressed by the size of the shower.
What really made our stay though was Atif and Osman. They were hilarious and so accommodating, I’d come back purely just for a conversation with them. It really felt less like a cold hotel stay and more like staying in someone’s house - warm and welcoming!
If you’re looking for somewhere nice that you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for I cannot recommend ibis Bordesley enough.
Very dissapointing definetely wont be going too this particular ibis again.Hidden charges like paying a parking fee of 16.00 for two cars.Having room changed from what i was expecting. So dissapointing didnt even stay the one night booked.Luckily freinds put us up at their house.
Better than average, everything you need, clean and quiet. Breakfast was OK, restaurant seemed reasonable. Be mindful if you book through an agency you have to pay for parking, book through ibis and its free, 15 minute walk to Digbeth O2 institute.. all in all was pleased with it.
Great service and food. Very friendly.
Fantastic place ! Enjoying our friends reunion! We were lucky to receive some amazing stickers and the service has been excellent!
We highly recommend this place for friends couples and families ! Love Yourself !
Noisy, not the best if your trying to work early evening.
And again noisy at night. Lots of doors banging and raised voices.
Where possible, I won’t stay here again.
hotel was ideal for me and my grandson, right next to st andrews football ground, hotel was nice and quiet, and the staff were nice and polite, will be back again.
