QuestionIing the cleanliness since the bathroom was dirty upon arrival.
Pros:

Breakfast was okay, but needed more of a variety. It would have been nice to have whip cream and fresh fruit to go with the waffles.

Cons:

Regarding our room upon arrival:
1) Phone did not work.
2) Bathroom floor had dirty tissue/napkins on the floor.
3) No wastebasket in the bathroom.
4) Bathroom did not have any hand soap in the dispenser.
Used my phone to call front desk and told them about all of the above. Housekeeping came in about 30 mins. Took the empty soap dispenser out, picked up dirty tissue/napkins, and said she would be back with soap and wastebasket. She apologized, and said this room had a clogging issue earlier with the toilet. We waited almost 2 hours, housekeeping never came back. We had our agenda so we headed out. No further contact was ever made during our entire stay to replace what was broken/missing.

It was not worth the price we paid. I expressed this to the front desk again when checking out. Oh well, all this was told to deaf ears.

Breakfast line to get waffles took 25 minutes. They need minimum of 4 waffle makers instead of two.

Only good thing about this hotel is the location.
Pros:

Room was outdated, front desk clerks were unfriendly and looked like they didn't want to be working, not one single staff showed any hospitality or acknowledgement, breakfast was mediocre but it was free, and staff just doing bare minimum. Only good thing about the hotel was the location as it was in-between SD Zoo and Sea World. Also I called to inform them of an item I left behind and I was told no left items were logged for my room and that housekeeping was already gone for the day and that someone would call me back the next day. I never received a call back so I assume the housekeeper just kept my belonging.

Old Town and staying at the Hacienda is my favorite getaway!!!
Pros:

I love the location of the hotel. The rooms are always comfy and clean. You can easily walk to anything inOld Town.

Cons:

Toilet seat was loose. It came off every time anyone sat on it.

A beautiful stay in Old Towb San Diego
Pros:

It was directly in the heart of old town making it quite easy to get around. The area was beautiful and staff was very nice.

Cons:

It’s so large so getting to my room felt like a maze. But the staff gave me a map which made it easier.

One night stay.
Pros:

Stayed here for 1 night. Check-in was easy. Room was comfortable. No fan in shower unless I missed it. Breakfast was great and fresh. Biggest complaint was the dark parking garage. NEED BRIGHTER LIGHTS. The parking garage is a huge liability if someone gets hurt. Lack of brighter lighting is unacceptable..

Pros:

The hotel campus was so beautiful! It was sprawling and so fun to explore, right next to a really cool walkable area to sightsee and shop. The free breakfast was yummy and the pool was such fun.

Cons:

The room's bathroom door to close off the shower and toilet from the sink area did not work.

Filthy disgusting hotel
Pros:

We had an extremely disappointing stay at the best Western plus Hacienda hotel. The room was incredibly dirty for the premium price that we paid. Our two nights came out to an average of $450 a night. The floor and carpet were so incredibly dirty that our feet were completely black and filthy after walking from the shower to the bed. There were also spiders and other bugs in our room which made us uncomfortable with having our baby sleep there. The crib they provided us was damaged and dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned in forever. The rest of the bathroom as well as the kitchenette were also incredibly dirty and there was hair on the floors and walls. Also, the blanket had blood stains on it. We complained to the staff who said they thought our carpet had been steam cleaned two weeks ago which from the pic I uploaded in this review is impossible. They also promised us that the cleaning crew would be very thorough when they cleaned our room however this was obviously not true as the same dirt that was on the floor was still there when we came back to our room. Incredibly incredibly disappointed with our stay and will never stay at a Best Western again.
