Pros:

Overall good, with one exception.

Cons:

The room smelled of heavy sanitation chemicals. It was very unpleasant. Staff was not helpful. E ended up going to store and bought and used a whole can of Lysol spray. It was somewhat helpful but the aroma still lingered. Mentioned it to the morning staff and recieved a lukewarm meh!
Very disconcerting for a Hampton.

We were there only a short time but it was comfortable and nice. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was an added bonus.

Tolerable becuz we were there less than 12 hours.

Tired building. All rooms needed an update. Carpet in room had been shampooed and still wet.
Tub barely drained.
We usually stay at Hampton Inns but this was disappointing.

Great adventure, started out in Galveston, TX drove to Louisiana - enjoyed the hotel!
Pros:

Nice distance from New Orleans - but really easy to drive there. Enjoyed the Mississippi cruise and downtown New Orleans. The hotel was clean, rooms were nice, breakfast was really good.

I tried to use the in-room mini fridge, but it had been unplugged and didn't work that well after I plugged it back in. Also very close to interstate highway, so noise was a bit of a problem.

It was a very good property booking up size it saying it had a Jacuzzi in a room which you did not
