The club room was big and newly refurbished, maybe put a chair or two in to sit on to watch the tv bathroom and shower was great
Staying in the club room I would of liked a mini fridge to put the two cans of water and club biscuit to keep cold only thing that bugged us
Recently stayed here for the night as I was due to have surgery in Manchester the next day. After spending 3 hours on the road, this hotel was extremely disappointing, Upon arrival room wasn't ready but its was fine we were quite hungry so went into the lounge/bar area for food, we ordered 2 chicken wraps and when they came my good god it was vile over cooked chip bits and 1 yes 1 cremated bit of chicken inside 1 wrap. The other wrap was also over cooked and inedible, we told a staff member her response was oo im sorry that was it ..any way checked in our room and my god the room was red hot, unbearable, reading 34degress on my phone, couldn't open the window enough due to safety locks and the fans that were in room were just circulating warm air as there was no air flow, even had open and leave open the main door.to try aon and all it did was circulate the warm air around the room we even left the main door open. I asked at reception if we could change rooms but got told to use fans and no rooms had aircon or fridges which i thought is very poor when your paying £150 per night, that night room was so hot and uncomfortable, impossible to sleep in, so after trying to sleep with soaked towels on us trying to keep us cool me and my partner actually went and slept in the car which was not ideal for any of us and especially with me having surgery and the fact you pay all that money to sleep in a bed, yet the hotel cant and isnt capable of dealing with warm weather , that isnt our fault, i have put a complaint in but no response from the hotel, disgusting, i would recommend others to avoid this hotel as there are others cheaper and can more than likely deal with nice weather.
Room 228
Staff helpful and friendly. Nice bfast room decor nice
No bathtub now rooms have been refurbished. It is on the flight pathway from the airport I did know this from last yr but forgot how loud and low the planes are and they ran all through the night. Having to pay for carparking as a hotel resident. The room was sweltering with no air con and the windows had a lock on so would only open 2 inches, no breeze. The fan was very noisy and didn't really help with the heat, didn't sleep at all . They did swap the fan for a new one it was quieter and the temp had dropped a bit. The window blind had a metal weight at bottom that constantly banged on the edges of the wall if blind not fully down in order to let a tiny breeze in.
a payment of £132 was taken out of my account without my concent
Location for airport
No air con
Zero sleep due to the heat
Would not book again
Good on site facilities, bar, restaurant, coffee shop, good parking, convenient location, easy to find, excellent staff, very good breakfast
No air conditioning, very warm bedroom, previous guest had obviously smoked in the room and the smell remained, right under Manchester airport flight path
Room extremely basic no air con no fridge decor not particularly nice
Not worth the money paid
Location, pool and spa area, room was spacious.
I am being picky here but the drawer in the bedroom didn’t close, the water in the basin didn’t drain well, the room fan was noisy and it felt a little tired in some areas. Minor maintenance issues really but these did not detract from the overall hotel.
Reception staff
No air con, rooms were unbearably hot
Barbara (Babs) was amazing, she deserves a raise. I love her!!
No AC, in the middle of a heat wave...
The swimming pool was the main attraction for me.
A bit noisy in the lounge
The pool area was ok, needed the swim as the weather was in a heat wave. The night porter was a life saver, we had neighbours who left their TV on full blast at 01:00 and he moved us without us even asking. Lovely man but did not get his name.
There was absolutely no air conditioning in any part of the hotel, made for a terribly uncomfortable stay, so much so that we will never stay there again in the summer months. 😒
So hot and the windows simply do not open wide enough in such exceptional circumstances. I’m not 5 years old who needs a child lock
Location
No air con and very noisy with the airport nearby
