Mercure Hotel Muenchen am Olympiapark

The rooms were clean and spacious. The front desk was brusque. Admittedly we were in town during Oktoberfest, but also, hospitality is their actual job. They didn’t do anything wrong, they just weren’t especially helpful. I had messaged about car parking before I arrived, yet I had to pull up the messages to prove it before they would allow me to pay €20 for the garage key. They also offered no flexibility for parking after checkout despite there being tons of room in the garage. All of this was within their right, but also gave the feeling that guests were to be endured rather than indulged.

Hotel was okay - wifi was not working, it was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The area is residential, so no much to do and had limited transportation options at night. During the day, you can take the tram to the central station and is fairly close to the city center.

The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, location was very nice and the breakfast was excellent!

Hotel is fine - don’t bother with breakfast if not included when booked they want €22 a head and it’s simply not worth it. Visit a local bakery or cafe which are on the doorstep instead.

The location close to the tram stop was good for getting around. The breakfast was very good.

Location is a short walk from the tram system, so very easy to navigate the city. Simple check in and out.

Very small room on top floor (you have to carry your luggage one floor on a staircase as the elevator does not go all the way). Slanted roof made the room even smaller. No coffee maker (just instant coffee and water kettle).
No hint of upgrade (even as Gold member who has been to the property before). Breakfast good (especially the make-your-bowl station), yet otherwise limited choices (as to cheese, meats, vegetables). Wifi worked well. Short walk to the tram stop. In all, the nearby Leonardo provided bigger room at 30 EUR better price (and more breakfast choices).

Nice hotel, nice staff, clean rooms. Good restaurants in walking distance. Terrible parking and far from downtown area and a long walk from Olympic park.

Not far from the central, convenient connect with the Trams.

Although the decor was a bit weird, I had a pleasant experience here. The staff and service were all fantastic and the morning breakfast was great. The hotel is also near by some restaurants, so if you get hungry, it isn't an issue. One of my issues was how tiny our room is. We didn't have much room for our luggage but I was pretty amazed how great a job the room cleaning was for that tiny area. The only other issue is that we were on the 4th floor but the elevator only goes up to the third floor. Kind of strange.

Stay in this hotel for 3 nights and which was a completely wrong decision . We stay in Mercure hotel in other cities in Germany last December & that gave us great impression, so we chose to stay here this time.

There was no refill of shower gel in the bathroom (there is a big jar on the wall but the gel went out after the first night). The bathtub is so tiny that my husband can hardly bend his head to wash his hair in the morning. The room is on 4/f without enough lighting. Can’t see at all near the table area which is next to TV. We saw 2 cockroaches in the room during our stay. Not sure if they do carpet dusting everyday but I don’t want to step on it with bare feet. There is no air conditioning, even though the weather turns cooler in Oct, we woke up with sweat in midnight. Not to mention, the elevator goes up to 3/F only, so if u carry big suitcase like me, ask for other rooms on 3/f or below, otherwise u have to carry it upstairs by yourself.

We stay in the bar for a drink before departure on the last day. Saw staff at reception gave warm welcome to other customers & invite them to join as member & got room upgraded. Unfortunately I didn’t experience that during check in.

The only good thing is the breakfast. Love the make your own bowl concept with delicious choices to make for yourself.

Staff was super helpful when I had questions. Location was great and either a 15 min walk or a quick tram ride to city center.

Away from crowds but tram runs right by hotel. Easy to see city using tram!

Room was fine. Breakfast was nice. Service could be improved. Tried to call the reception several times and nobody picked up. Asked for an iron at reception instead and after waiting around 1 hour it never arrived.

A straightforward three star hotel. Located about 150 meters from a tram stop which enables you to be in the centre in 10 minutes
