Good comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of city centre
Pros:

Nice big room, very clean. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff

Cons:

I stayed during heatwave, room was very hot (though I appreciated the fan provided) and duvet seemed like winter weight - far too hot!

Lovely but too hot without air con for summer
Pros:

Great location - quiet and interesting area, and a short, safe walk across the pedestrian bridges to Ponds Forge and the rest of the city. Lovely gym facilities and pool. Beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom were spacious and newly refurbished.

Cons:

No air-conditioning! Unbearable in the summer heat.

The location was great being in the quays there was some lovely coffee shops and places to eat nearby overlooking the canal and boats. The bar and bar food and the bar staff were great.

Cons:

The room was too hot only one small fan in the room, no air conditioning and the window could only be opened a small amount, assume this was because we were on the 5th floor. We had a family room and fortunately only 2 of us in there otherwise it would have been totally unbearable.

Leisure facilities were good and the new tavern bar. Room was clean.
