Everything was as previous stay.
A bit disappointed with evening bar staff ìn lounges.
Had to check our drinks bill, charged for two wines, only should have been one.
Possible lack of intrest in the job.

Pros:

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. We needed an early breakfast before an event and our request was honoured without any fuss. Breakfast very good quality. A successful weekend stay. Unfortunately the indoor pool was closed !

Parking available, check in was very easy. Staff were always friendly and professional. The room was clean. Coffee, tea and water available in the room. Just across from the sea which made it a really relaxing break. Breakfast was great, with a lot of options available. You could choose from continental, English or both types of breakfast. Check out also very straightforward.

Great facilities, spa treatment was lovely and the heated outdoor swimming pool in September was a bonus.
Staff was all friendly, wide range of cocktails at the bar, restaurants were also of high standard.

Loved this property! While the room was a bit dated, it was nice and comfortable. The common areas were absolutely beautiful and truly grand! Would definitely stay there again! Easy drive to the Seven Sisters Cliffs which were so breathtaking not to mention the beautiful countryside.

The stay was fine. Bit of a dated room and slow service at the bar. Room had those annoying curtains that don’t close properly so the room is bright at sunrise 😂
Beautiful location, great breakfast but the reason for the poor review is that I was silly enough to leave my toiletries behind And oh boy what a pain to retrieve them. Had to call four times and email twice before they sent them on. Just super disorganised.

Pros:

It's been about 15 years since I last stayed and I was slightly disappointed this time. The lamp on our dressing table did not work nor did the vanity mirror light in the bathroom. Also found a few curly hairs in the bathroom.
The Spa is looking quite run down. Peeling paint, missing tiles and mouldy grout in the pool. Mould on the step. Generally did not feel very clean.

An amazing weekend at the Grand - was there for our wedding anniversary that coincided with the Airbourne. Staff on the whole were amazing - the service was a bit intermittent at times, but it was a busy weekend for them so totally understand how difficult it is to get the resource right. We will definitely be back to stay again.

Concierge service excellent. Room not as expected. Maintenance work (noisy) from next door before 9am. No pre warning. Waited half an hour to be served in bar both before and after dinner and ten minutes at breakfast after being sat at an unmade up table. Dirty crockery left on table from previous users in bar. Coffee served in chipped cup. In the end left early.
