Pros:

Good on site facilities such as pool, bar and restaurant.
The room was basic and didn’t compare to the photos.

Pros:

Room was tidy and clean and presented well when checked in. Rooms are quite plain and dated but to be expected from an old hotel. Noticed vandalism and holes in the walls in our room, our bathtub had orange stains in too. Could do with work done to the rooms to make it look fresh and well maintained. Mattress was all spring and quite thin so was a bit uncomfortable. The room served its purpose of somewhere to stay that was close to the town centre. Staff were great and so was the location. Only 2-3 min walk to the tram station which was useful for getting in Blackpool quick and easy. Could do with a zebra crossing or light crossing outside to help with crossing the road as it was quite difficult. There is also a co op about a 3 min walk that stock essentials like food and snacks which I found useful

Pros:

Everything looks tired and in need of an update generally and around the hotel.
My room was very clean and looks up to date, although disappointing there was no bath. Personal preference.
The pool, sauna and steam room could do with some tlc in regards to the finish, as it’s a bit tatty.
Would I stay there again, not with the Imperial next door with a similar cost.

Pros:

Room was pleasant & spacious
Bed was extra large & comfortable
Happy enough with the room with seaview though couldnt see clearly through the glass
Other guests were the issue, no consideration in regards to noise, all hours of the morning making sleep difficult to say the least

Pros:

It was not really the hotes fault that there was a Morris dancing comption on the day we arrived so it was rather noisey!! We put our luggage in the room & went out so we missed the use of the spa. one of the reasons for booking this hotel.
The room was ok with a sea veiw but I would descibe it as tired, the bed was comfy so that was good.
We opted for breakfast in the morning, this was nice & tastey, very small plates though.
Staff on reception were most helpful
Over all the stay was ok, Carpark handy & close to a tram stop.
We would retun for the night.

Pros:

A generally well kept hotel, clean interior, dining room, bar. The staff were quick and helpful when I asked for a heater to keep the chill out of our room for my wife, who is disabled and feels the cold. They were fasg in sending maintenance staff to unblock the shower room sknk.

Pros:

Examples of poor customer service - check in was okay but not warm. Reception night staff had to be called for overnight disturbance/breach of the peace. Someone attended, requested quiet and left. Then did not return to check. It created only a short interval before the fighting recommenced. If I had been alone – I would have called the Police!

When asked about there being insufficient food available at breakfast, the staff member (male) replied “I only have two legs!” No apology or explanation provided. Nor help offered.

Again at check out, when we mentioned the poor standards, the lady on reception merely shrugged, did not pursue a conversation and generally looked as if she was out of a job anyway and had heard it all before many times.

Staff morale is non-existent.

Cleanliness was not great – dirty windows and tables. Had to get our own cutlery and clear our table ourselves both mornings of the stay before we could eat breakfast.

The pool was closed by 6.30 pm on Friday night.

Worst of all though, we were unable to sleep due to all night disturbances – loud arguments in rooms and corridors, door slamming, swearing and eventually car horn sounding. When you go to a hotel you expect to be able to get some sleep! This is no longer a 4 star hotel. Time to change the rating to 3 stars!

We paid £381.80 for two nights – never again! Having been previously, when it was run by Hilton, this was a huge disappointment!

Pros:

The hotel is nothing like as advertised on the internet. It’s was a dirty huge building that needs cleaning on the inside & on the outside. The lobby area floors need cleaning. My room had not been vacuumed as there was crumbs all over the floor.

And the partial sea view was atrocious all we could see was a roof top with pipes which looked like an oil rig !!!

I would never stay there again as it wasn’t worth the money neither.
