Went here for a two night stay with my granddaughter. Great location for the beach. Parking is quite a nightmare if you are wanting to not spend a lot, a big walk. However the concierge service is of course quite convenient.
Breakfast next morning was pretty average if honest although staff were friendly, and definitely much more welcoming than reception staff in arrival who seemed to act as though she was a bit put out by having to check us in, admittedly we were later arriving at 9pm.
We then had a huge walk to our room, and with bags of things to include stuff for beach trip and to keep a pre teen amused, a number of bags, with a maze of rooms and no way around having to carry bags/case up stairs.
Automatic that you have no laundry service during your stay, rather than a chance to choose not to. Which if staying longer than just a couple of nights would be disappointing.
Pool was lovely, but unfortunately is not a part of a booking (which is not cheap for the area) and you have to pay extra each day you visit.
Lovely staff however in pool area and little cafe in there, with nice smoothies, shakes and toasties.
Bar area closed early, so nowhere get a cold drink if arriving late in warm weather.
Die Lage und der Garten
Das Zimmer im Keller, keine Reinigung, der Zugang zum Zimmer lebensgefährliche Treppe, muffig und feucht im Zimmer
Sehr gute Lage
Seeeeehr laut vom Zimmer oben! Man hatte das Gefühl: Elefanten wohnen über einem
Lovely
Breakfast should be until 11am
This is a beautiful property , it’s a stunning place and one of Bournemouths iconic buildings
The hotel is tired inside and needs a considerable amount of investment
Location, room, view
Breakfast could have had more choice
Fantastic location
Lovely outdoor space with a great view of the beach from the terrace.
The location was excellent and very close to the beach and other attractions. The views from the room directly looking over the beach was stunning.
The room was not cleaned properly and we had issues with the sink so they had to shift us to a different room. Apart from thess minor issues, the stay was excellent and I would definitely stay here again.
The location was good being near the beach, it’s been a grand hotel in its day but not the nicest stay overall.
Beds really hard, uncomfortable, they made you pay £28 for the car park which is a rip off! Breakfast was ok not the hot food tho.
Staff were friendly
Restaurant and bar areas mantained very well
Cleanliness in main areas of hotel was good
Food simple but nice
Would stay again!!
Maybe rooms could do with a bit more maintenance.
Maybe some more garden sun loungers in lawn area
Its location nearby the sea
The reception person (Anthony) provided us the small double bed despite us paying for the double bed room. He was insisting that it is not what it shows on the pictures but the room was totally different than what we booked. After argument he gave us that room that too with arrogance. No toiletries provided the room was smelling and water was bearly coming out of showers and taps. Very bad experience
Location is fantastic
Breakfast was poor, very limited option, not topped up.
Cleanliness of the breakfast room was poor, appeared the previous days activities were left on the floor, not hoovered
