Not worth the money despite the sea front location
Pros:

The outside looked very palatial and grand and our room had a partial sea view

Cons:

The noise from the entertainment room was terrible until after 10pm and in the morning there was music coming from there too. Our room wasn’t even directly above it.
We were rudely awakened by the fire alarm going off and when I questioned this at reception she dismissed it as out of her control.
Breakfast was rather pricey (£25 for 2) for what was on offer. The coffee was very weak and I did not return for a second cup. The selection of cereal was poor - two choices and there didn’t seem to be any gluten free options for bread.
Despite the failings with breakfast, the serving staff at breakfast time were lovely and kept their limited options well stocked.

We didn’t want to leave!
Pros:

A grand hotel with wide corridors. Very close to the sea. We had an amazing room with a balcony and a sea view. A leisure centre on site with a swimming pool was an added bonus. The staff were so helpful at all times.

Cons:

The breakfast was copious but basic. But they were catering for a lot of people so it was all very efficient.

Felt very un welcome
Pros:

The location is perfect

Cons:

They say they are dog friendly but the dog couldn’t go anywhere in the hotel only the room
So this spoilt are stay we couldn’t go to any of the entertainment couldn’t eat in the hotel only outside
No dog bowls down or dog treats
And the manager Anthony was very rude towards us and didn’t makes us feel welcome at all
I go to this hotel at least once a year
This visit put us off
We had to change room as the first room wasn’t excepable

Disappointing and lacking what one would expect from supposedly a high class hotel.

The principle of having to pay for everything at Reception and not told about these charges at Check in. in particular having to pay £28 per day to park the car and £5 per day to use the pool. The two alternatives for dinner where one was a buffet so no-one actually served you and where there was no choice for the fixed rate you were charged. The alternative was even worse because when I ordered soup and a main meal it all turned up together so the main was sitting there getting cold. In the room the bed was comfortable but in the en suite it was ridiculously cramped with no bath mat which is pretty basic. I assume all you are thinking of is money because services virtually nil. Needless to say I shall not be staying at the Royal Bath again.

Will not be booking again

The garden and bar area were comfortable and pleasant

Cons:

I was given a room the size of a small cupboard with no ventilation and terribly uncomfortable bed with no room to swing a cat. It was dark and dingy and outdated. I asked to change rooms and was told there were none and had to pay an additional £90 to upgrade to a suite which although much bigger was also very tired and outdated and hot

How it was close to the beach other then that I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy

Where do I even start the first room we where given had a used plastic wine cup in there the bathroom stunk on damn and all the surfaces where covered in dust I go back down to the check in desk to speak to a manager and they customer service levels where on the floor I was very polite in my tone he then gave us a different room that stunk of cigarette smoke and the room was covered in very gross stains I know
For the price I wasn’t expecting the Hilton but the rooms just being clean is a bare minimum!! We went back down to complain again and asked for a refund ( it was my birthday weekend and we didn’t want it ruined by rude staff and neglected rooms but we where refused a refund due to us only booking one night I wasn’t expecting a room upgrade just a room that wasn’t disgusting to be in but the manager was saying I can upgrade you for an extra fee we didn’t want an upgrade I just wanted a decent nights sleep ( was never going to happen on the beds that feel like ur sleeping on every spring ) the manager refused to answer my questions on why we couldn’t move rooms for a third time and or get a refund and we where hoping to speak to another manager but when we walked over they where very clearly laughing and talking about us which is very unprofessional I believe his name started with a s or a c dark black hair quite a short man. Will not be returning don’t be fooled my the reception and look of the bar area this hotel is disgusting
